A Twitard Runs Afoul...

Our friends love us. They really do. They are also just as evil as we are so when we got an email with the link below, along with a warning that this could happen to us we... fucking couldn't stop laughing because we knew it was no idle threat.

From here (Click link to enlarge pic)

This was sent to us by none other than our lovely OPattz, who is a kick ass dancer, if you'll all recall. While he is the best sport EVER, he only tolerates STY and my addiction to Twilight because he knows we make fun of it as often as we extol its virtues. This was the note accompanying the link.

This is what will happen to both of you if you ever say how "awesome" twillight is. I just thought you should be warned that you must keep disparaging the series or all bets are off.....

Later,
OPattz

This is hysterical and we want this to happen to someone we know. Just not us. And while Mr. Snarky and ML frequently threaten to start treating us like the juvenile delinquents we've been acting like lately, at least we won't get grounded.

I don't know who this poor sap is but his friends are diabolical. I'd buy them a drink but trust me, I'd stay sober around them...

P.S. - Snarkier Than You and I won't be around tonight. I know, we suck. We are attending a little bloggy meetup called Aiming Low in New York. We fully intend to take advantage of the free booze and will hopefully not get jumped by all the non-Twi bloggers.

  1. OME - that is awesome and scary. Hmm, maybe I should worry to. I awoke to some crazy texts and emails from friends who weren't to thrilled that I was squee'ing like a mad woman for seeing up close and personal a "New Moon" cast member.

On another note, another set of folks who will be partaking in the free booze and goodies at Aiming Low. I love free stuff so I'm hoping that its good swag!

  2. Actually I think it is rather imaginative, (and evil) of his friends..whats the old adage...."With friends like that....."

    Be safe ladies.

  3. Are we sure it wasn't Alex Meraz? LOL!

  4. My s/o posted on fb "is any1 else sick and tired of their wife yapping about twilight"
I commented: ur just jealouse that I watch rpattz on YouTube more than I spend time with you.
Not quite as dramatic as being left infront of a police station but still a slam on fb! WTF!

  5. hahaha.. that pic is so freakin funny! oh and also .. twilight brain from previous post.. HAHAHAHAH It's funny, cause it's true.

  6. Have fun girlies! Wish I was there! Not sure why I'd be there, as I'm not a blogger, but you know what I mean. I have had friends threaten an intervention more than once. I'd like to see them try......

  7. That is so funny!

    Have fun tonight! =)

  8. Have a wonderful time aiming low. We all do it so well!! =)) But not with the Twi... we definitely aim VERY high in that part of our lives! =}

  9. Haha, poor guy. At least his friends have a wicked sense of humor. Facebook is definately a double-edged sword. My oldest son outed my Twi-obsession on his FB page which resulted in a ton of comments, mostly sympathetic to his plight of having a twimom. I feel like the entire senior class is looking at me for the wierdo that I am. However, FB has also given me the opportunity to see that his friends are actually really good people with good (albeit inexperienced 17-18 year old) hearts. So, all is not lost. The moral of the story is...he must NEVER find out what my blogger name is, or I'm history!

Word veri: meddiet - I got kicked out of the mental hospital, so I'm out of meds.

  10. OK Twitards - while JJ and STY are out to play tonight, I need your advice... help me pick my next fanfic to read...

I've already gobbled down CW&IA (waiting for next chapter), same with the Office...LOVED Wide Awake...reading SS&NS...

Shall I start Emancipation Proclamation, I Love LA, My Yes My No, or the Submissive?

    Thanks!! =}

  11. I'm laughing so hard!! I love that the one friend just had to comment at the end and give the explanation. Geez, I better watch my back and never get drunk and say How "awesome Twilight is". Funny!! Ok I gotta post this picture on one of my friends facebooks!

saw that, its soooo funny!! i kind wish my friends were that cool!

on an unrelated note - went to my local bottle shop [liquor store to those in other countries] walked up to the counter with my 2 bottles of cheap champagne, and dropped my keys there to get my wallet from my bag. The girl serving saw my various twilight keyrings and asked if i had tickets to the next movie yet!!! i was so excited i said "yes ofocurse" and we chatted a bit, and she leaned in and whispered "its a little embarrassing, but i have midnight showing tickets" i totally SQUEEEED and said "so do i!!!" needless to say we bonded. i hope i see her on that fateful day in november!

  14. im sorry to bombard you with un relate to the post comments buttt im back to twilight in my reading cycle and i just read on page 241, when they are first in the meadow, this line

"he raised his free hand and placed it gently on the side of my neck. i sat very still, the chill of his touch a natural warning - a warning telling me to be terrified. but there was no feeling of fear in me. there were however other feelings..."

what does she mean by other feelings!? does she mean her vagina tingled like a twitard reading The Office!?

WV - unicut - id like to see the unicut version of twilight

  15. @twichotic- AngstGoddess (Wide Awake) has another story up called Withering The Ferns (WTF :D). It's short but it's complete. I love her writng style!

  16. @Twichotic: have you read this one? It's diferent from the angsty ones...
    http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5072648/1/Edward_Wallbanger

It's from one of the girls from twigasm.

Cocktails and Dreams is also nice.

I'm kind of taking a break from the more violent ones like the Red Line... Haven't even look at the submissive but with all the reviews I know I'll cave in.

There's also The List by lillie cullen... Pretty hot.

    Which one is SS&NS?

    Kisses

  17. Dang it! I gave in to Winged Armor.... BAH - and now I'm up until 1:30 in the morning reading. WHY?!?! Because it's as good as you all said.

  18. @F-Kat: well remembered...

There are so many I think I'll make a list...

  19. I have to admit, I started writing fanfic myself. I started writing on Friday and finished the first chapter last night. Still haven't posted it though, as I'm having troubles coming up with the title. I hope to do so by the end of the day, even though I'm dreading the fact that other people will be reading it.

  20. @Jelena: Be sure to post the link here so we can check it out. :)

  21. @ Selene - Twichotic meant Natural Satellites & Shooting Stars...it's written by Stan who frequents this blog and has her own...Under My Edbrella. Check it out on fanfiction.net. It's not another Edward/Bella love story...

    ReplyDelete
  22. @Selene and everyone else really - I posted it.

    http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5474379/1/The_Canvas

This is my first fanfic ever. There's graphic language involved. :D

    ReplyDelete
  23. @Twiweasel: :) Thanks. I've already got a link to it, first time Stan meantioned it but, for some strange reason, NS&SS didn't ring a bell... I really need to make myself a list! asap.

@Jelena: *adding the link to favorites* thanks :)

Sleep deprivation is getting to me... Oh, and I was going to write depravation, but that's not from lack of sleep but from excess of fanfic.

  24. morning girls, on another subject completely, just wondered do you guys know eddie izzard?

saw the youtube vid on this link and thought of you so had to blog about it..!

Bread for my bread gun! Presenting the LEGO TWILIGHT TRAILER!

  25. @mysharona - I just watched the Lego trailer. Funny!

@ all you fan fic nuts - You are weakening my resolve! I think I'm going to have to give in soon and break my TFFH (Twi Fan Fic Hymen). Anyone want to come to my bachelorette party? What do I read first?

    ReplyDelete
  26. @Selene - hey thanks. Let me know what you think about it after you've read it.

@Z Any Mouse - I had my cherry popped last week, and I did it with The Office. It had my blood racing the whole time.

    ReplyDelete
  27. @mysharona - LOVE EDDIE IZZARD!!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I bonded over him when we first started dating. He has a special place in my heart because of that. =))

    ReplyDelete
  28. @Z Any Mouse: definitely The Office or Wide Awake for starting, in my opinion. Be prepare to "log off" from the real world.

    @mysharona: loved it! It's perfectly done :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. @Z Any Mouse: well, emancipation proclamation it's quite good also. Hmm. I'm sure if I come back in a few minutes I'm gonna have more suggestions for you so I should probably stop...

  31. Hi JJ, so i'm probably a Johnny-come-lately to this whole thing but I googled lamebook.com after this post and there are shedloads of posts like this on there. bloody brilliant website, where has lamebook been all my life? i feel some blogging coming on...xx

  33. My friend wants to go to the premiere with me JUST to laugh at my psychosis. She keeps it up and I'll have to crawl back in to the closet. After seeing this post however, I'll definitely watch my alcohol consumption around her. Bitch:-)

@re: fanfic. I've read most of the best written ones already mentioned but if you want a break from the angst and drama, read Mr. Horrible by algonquinrt. It's warm and funny and VERY well written. (I'm easily distracted by typos and errors in grammar so I love quality writing, not just storytelling.) It doesn't show 'complete' but that's only because she's planning a sequel. Read it.

    ReplyDelete
  34. @suzspetals - Thanks for recommending Mr. Horrible! I read a lot of fanfic and love a great story with quality writing too.

  35. I hope you two had a blast last night! Thankfully I don't think any of my friends would do this to me but that is freaking funny. OK back to Halloween crunch time now--I have a Sea Monster and a Teen Zombie to finish creating.

    ReplyDelete
  36. JJ and STY - hope you two had a great time at your function.

I haven't heard of Lamebook yet, so now I will be browsing that info while I am supposed to be working today. That guys friends are horrible but terribly creative! Thankfully I don't drink around the people at work and they are the only ones I Twitalk to.

@re:fanfic - I have read sooooo many different ones now. I'm all about writing style as well suzspetals and one that I found that I really liked was Coming to Terms, by GinnyW 31.

    http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4626503/1/

It's different than most of the ones that I have read, there's some lemons, but mostly just a good story. I can't even think which story has been my favorite - CW & IA, Wide Awake, or The Office. If you want your lady parts to get all tingley, then those three will do it. I haven't delved into the harder (no pun intended) The Submissive yet. I think I'm a little frightened.

    *Be safe and Happy Halloween!

    ReplyDelete
  37. @STY, JJ & Red Bella - wow, you Twitards are REALLY getting out there! Do you still have that brown paper bag in hand? I'm excited and freaked out for you!

    Has anyone contacted you guys?

@Jen - thanks for sharing that link.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Eonline? Wow you guys have hit the bigtime! At least he noted that the Pattinson Panties were not for sale. Seems like most people who see those assume someone is trying to make a buck which is just rude.

  39. Thanks everyone for your fan fic suggestions! I am going to try and hold off for a couple of weeks. I have a huge deadline coming up 11/14, then I'll reward myself by checking out of real-life and go on a fan fic binge.

  40. Smart girl, Z Any Mouse. I'm supposed to be working on a deadline now myself. Aaaany minute now I'm gonna start it.
