As Alice Would Say... It's Tiiiime

Hello, lovely twatwaffles and donkey-snatches. As you all know, STY and I will be sprinting around New York City, meeting up with other bloggers, drinking whiskey, desperately hoping to catch sight of RPattz and, most importantly... watching mother fucking New Moon. [My priorities may be a tad skewed on those last two but I don't think so.]

Flip cameras are being charged, subway routes are being plotted and tracked and we are just SO ready for this.

Except that we're totally not, which is fine because, inevitably, this seems to be the way we roll. I mean, we've been talking and prepping for this day for, oh, TEN FUCKING MONTHS, and I'm currently sitting here, hair undyed, eyebrows as bushy as RPattz (mono-brow, in-between-filming RPattz!) and holy-fucking-shit-where-is-my-OTHER-camera?! In other words, basically freaking the fuck out. Did my paycheck cash? Probably should have checked that earlier. And where the hell are those movie tickets? Hope I don't have to poop at Union Square. Those bathrooms are shit, excuse the pun.

Actually, I don't know if there is a bathroom at Union Square - I guess I'll have to use the sidewalk...

Needless to say, it's time for a bottle glass of wine.

Anyhoo, suffice it to say that we won't be around on the blog tomorrow. We are bringing an arsenal of tech-y shit that we aren't really even sure how to use but will hopefully twittering/picturing/making out with RPattz and whatnot throughout the day (and night). Granted, there will be a two hour and ten minute leave of absence, but that's about it.

We know quite a few of you are going to be bowing out of the mayhem tomorrow. Smart bitches! Because of this, STY and I are going to actually (gasp!) refrain from giving anything away for the next few days. The only thing you might hear from us was "holy shit, the movie was fucking great" or "WTF, that sucked" or "Um, can we have a fundraiser for bail money?"

So, this is where you lovely folks come in. As STY mentioned earlier, we want your pictures from YOUR New Moon experience. Having a party? Send us pictures (preferably clothed(-ish), natch. We're already walking that fine line). Stuck at home and pouting? Take a picture of your sad mug and send it to us. Brownie points if you have Twitarded shit on, because we are totally vain like that. Email us whatever you've got and we'll put together a little collage so all those that aren't able to attend can live vicariously through them. This is for all you ladies who can't get babysitters, are on bed rest (yikes! Stay strong, sweetie!), have to work the next day, are still stuffed into the Twicloset or whatever reason that keeps you from the theater.

Because, at the end of the day, this is all about us, all of us. And this is the only way we can think of to celebrate this silliness together.

Oh, and one more thing. Today is the LAST night to donate to our Alex's Lemonade Stand fundraiser and help us win our dinner with Peter Facinelli. I promise to eat fiber before we go. Oh wait, is that the right thing to do?

  1. I got a little emo with this post, I must admit. :~

It's been one hell of a wait and it's finally here! I'm overwhelmed and excited at the same time. Contemplating whether I should read New Moon again overnight, for one last time the way it plays out in my head. As of tomorrow, it will never be the same. Have you thought about that?

Yes, I'm twitarded like that! :)

Holy crap I am so excited! I can't remember the last time I was this excited for anything. I feel all emotional and lovey dovey and just generally spazzy. OK, must have another glass of wine and simmer down.

I hope everyone has a blast and I can't wait to re-convene with you all. VitaminR out.

Have so much fun, girls! Can't wait to read your coverage of it all. I'm seeing it Friday morning to the tune of much less hype, but I'm excited.

  14. Okay, went to Burger King, got the slider 6 pack and the collector cards. ~~shiver~~...told my daughter to get a crown & she says no you. So when the food came, I waited and got 4 crowns. We took pics with our crowns on. She was team J, me team E. LMAO! Mr. Rottymama just rolled his eyes. I took another pic with my Twitarded button in between Team E & J collector card holder. Somebody call the wacko-wagon! Will take a pic of tomorrow at the movie theater. AAHHH!

  15. Best of luck wIth the auction. I just donated! Can't wait for your take on the movie.

  16. Or would Alice say "It's time, it's time!" ala birthday party?

I really need to get to bed and fight this cold before I stand outside for 2 hours tomorrow night but I feel like I'm 5 and it's Christmas Eve. Have a blast all you Twitard goddesses and we'll convene and discuss at TwitardCom '10.

Word ver: pudiness - I'll be pudiness in Chris Weitz's hands in 26 hours!

    ReplyDelete
  17. XOXOX's to all of my Twitarded Sisters!! Have a great time seeing "our" movie these next couple of days! I'll have my fingers crossed for the auction- best of luck JJ & STY!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Aaah, what a lovely opening sentence JJ, ROFL! I'm so excited, I'm going to stay with my bloggy BFF Mary so it's like a proper holiday for me! Am shipping hubby and kids off to my Mum and Dad's nearby so I can meet up with them after, which means I've had to lie on the form to school asking for a day off for them, my auntie did actually die a couple of weeks ago though so it's only a time-lie and not an event-lie. Is it very wrong to use a relative's death in this way? You know what? I may have just crossed a serious line in Twitardia but I couldn't give a shizz. Meh.
WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!! My only regret now is that the place I ordered my FSE & FSJ from put the release of them back a week so I don't have them to take to Mary's with me.
Oh, and Mary's husband is actually scared about tomorrow! Muahahahaaa!

Enjoy, ladies! Oh, and I think you should use mini-E to bid with somehow at the auction, on a stick or something ;o). Really hope you get that dinner, I'm rooting for you girls. xx

  19. @Jess - I have been listening to the audiobook and will finish up just in time for tomorrow's midnight showing. Great observation. Everything is going to look differently after tomorrow.

I have never experienced anything like this before and probably never will again, because I'm pretty sure I'm going to have a heart attack when the film finally starts.

Our local theater has sold out six theaters and is working on the 7th, which is their max. A good friend's son is one of the managers at the theater and called to give me some midnight madness tips: get there at least four hours early, bring a lawnchair, bring a laptop to watch Twilight (and/or play Twilight Scene It? DVD game). Sounds like a plan, and I'm SO ready.

Can't wait to hear how things went for our fearless leaders. Enjoy the moment, Twitards, and like Twilove1 said, enjoy "our" movie. *goosebumps*

  20. A little OT but Kellan made a itsy bitsy referance to the um... "undergarments" with a certain someone's face at the premier in LA. It feels like he found it funny.

  21. @SharonMacross fab clip! Love Kellan's growl there, almost did one myself when I heard that ;o)

Why do you think he couldn't take his shirt off though? I reckon he was covered in body stubble cos he hadn't shaved and was too embarrassed LOL

  22. STY & JJ - Have.A.Fk'n.BALL!!!!

Hope New Moon day is everything you all were hoping it would be and more - can't wait to hear about the shenanigans!

I get to finally see it Friday - finishing work early to see it - excuse given "very important appointment that was hard to get and just can not get out off" not a TOTAL lie, it is a VERY, very important appointment.....So excited! Me and New Moon - I am going to try my best and zone out the rest of the sold out theatre! ( A girl can dream can't she?!)

All the best with auction, may the twi-force be with you - Have fun, Enjoy - Go Team Twitarded!!!

@STY- If you didn't get to see my email, managed to get envelope back, its on route now with postcode and all! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  23. @Jess - Good thinking. I've been debating whether or not to read it again, but now I'm totally convinced it's the right thing to do. Of course, even after Twilight, I still picture the characters pretty much as I did before. The only ones that are tainted by the movie are the characters I couldn't ever put a face to.

@sprtzmom1721 & Twilove1 - "Our movie" for sure! It makes me feel all mushy and gushy inside. Ugh.

So - I decided what I'm wearing and taking to the movie: my brand new muumuu, plenty of bon-bons, and an extra 300 lbs. What? I'm not a stereotype.

Okay, so maybe I'm not wearing a muumuu, but the bon-bons can be purchased at the concessions stand. And perhaps it's more like 30 extra pounds instead of 300, but how else was I going to fit into my demographic? :P

NO WAY: WordVerif: exterd. I hope JJ doesn't exterd all over PFach. LOL!

  24. Ok, this is the second blog I have been on that promises not to give out any spoilers.....where oh where can us spoiler whores go that can't see it right away....I need someone to spill. Does anyone know who will be loose lipped?
And gals, if you make out with Rob, I don't care what it takes....get a shot of the sparkle peen.
JJ you hold him, STY take the shot!
We will have a fund raiser for bail...on second thought, quickly e-mail the pics and we can sell them to cover your bail!
Good luck and have loads of fun!

  29. May the force be with you girls.

    Have a great time!

We shall be toasting Twitardia at Twipno-towers tonight.

It's Twistmas Eve for us today as we are gathering together hoardes from far and wide (well as far and wide as the UK gets) for Twistmas Day full-on shellibrations tomorrow evening. After that we shall gorge ourselves on all the New Moon spoilage we've been missing since the camp out in our Twi-chastity belts belts began.

Vive la Twitardia, hope no little Tweenshit screamers spoil it for ya xx

    ReplyDelete
  30. Have a great time tonight! Wish I could go (stupid work, bah!).

Good luck with the auction as well!

Good luck girls! I hope you find Rpattz!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I am super excited for tonite! We are only getting the theater an hour and a half early - they are not assigning theaters to tickets - just letting everyone in at once so I'm assuming it's going to be a free for all!!

I'll take pics and send them as soon as I can - I'm wearing my "Twitarded" button proudly - wish I would have gotten the tshirt now though!

  33. I SAW THE MOVIE!!!

Oh my fucking god, I'm so pleased with how it came out!
I saw it last night and it left me so pumped! I really don't want to wait like what...7 months for Eclipse? ugh...
but I'm seeing it again tonight! My friend and I are going to see twilight and then the midnight showing of New Moon.
lol and we have our Burger King crowns ready too!

I'm team Edward...but while watching this movie, I have to admit...I was thinking of switching teams. *GASP!* I know, right!?
Taylor plays such an awesome Jacob...and how he is with Bella *sigh* at some points, I really wanted it to happen. I won't lie.

Hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did!! ^_^

  34. So. Very. Jealous. I can only wait until Friday night and suffer through watching Regis and Kelly and The Today Show (that one I like).
GAWD HE'S SOOOOOO FUCKING HOT!!!! I really really really hope you at least get a glimpse of His Royal Hotness live and in person! Don't get too drunk! Stay focused and on the mission!!!!

    SO FUCKING EXCITED!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I am crawling out of my skin today. I should have taken today off work as I can't concentrate anyway (less than normal). I have NEVER been this excited about a movie premier. WTF can't remember the last time I was as excited about anything as tonite at midnight. I am seriously a 45 year old teenager! Yikes! Run away Taylor, I'm one of those panty signing old ladies! I will take pix and send them of us 'old teenagers' with our champagne/vodka licking the movie screen tonight!
Kiss RPattz for me. He was sooo hawt on Letterman (licking the screen again). Seriously adorkable is the perfect word for him.
**Does anyone else have this problem:
Every time I look at RPattz I see him in my fanfic stories. Domward, cupcakeward, lollipopward etc...
I will NEVER EVER be able to look at him the same. Ruined for life (won't be the first time!)**

    ReplyDelete
  38. I can't BELIEVE it's finally HEREEREEE!!!!!!!! Can't wait for your report! I'm seeing it tomorrow (@ first showing) instead of the midnight showing tonight. I didn't want to deal with the teens... But tomorrow is soon enough -- I guess ;)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Have fun ladies! I'm going to try my hardest to stay away from the computer until Sunday night, when I finally get to go. I know by then some of you will have seen it six times, waaahhh! Oh, and stay away from the fibre. You don't want to be twifarted in the theatre.

  40. 42. @ Lisa, tell me about it! As I put on my Twitter, Edward who?? ;o)

    LOL @ gulsh!

    ReplyDelete
  43. @Stan - I really should have taken today off of work. I'm getting NOTHING done. It's hard to juggle blogging, twittering (trying to keep tabs on JJ & STY), etc. This Robsanity is going to get me fired. Hopefully, the media will get that it's Robsanity and not Edwardsanity finally!

    ReplyDelete
  44. @Lisa well thankfully I'm not risking a job, just my children's upbringing and the state of my house!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I got to see the movie early and I know you ladies are going to love it!! I can't wait to read your review.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Unfckingbelievable-I watched Remember Me trailer, drooled way way way too much and locked my computer up completely. Just had to reboot it. What can I say Remember Me-who is he kidding like I'm ever gonna forget that face, those lips, that body, those eyes, the hair, the smile, the crooked eyebrow raise thing, did I mention the eyes oh and the body and the face, I KNOW I mentioned the face. Oh Gosh and the voice, don't you just love that voice. Am I rambling, am I, sorry, I feel a gulsh coming on. WOW!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I've got tickets for tomorrow night at 7 and I am hardly functioning. I am so excited!!!
And I watched the trailer to Remember Me and I now hate Emilie. She gets to make out with my man meat.

  48. As a journalist/blogger it is my duty to report on the major events of the world. That being said, tonight I will be embedded with the Twitards for the 12 am showing of "New Moon."

My MRs will be tiny airplane bottles of booze. My protection? A press pass and camera.

I will send picture from the midnight premiere in Colorado, that is if I make it out alive (they say there will be vampires about).

PS My Twitarded friend turned me on to this site and you gals are fucking hilarious. As my friend keeps telling me, even though I haven't yet swallowed the entire bottle of koolaid, she's glad I'm taking sips.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I was going to be all adult and wait until the tweens had their fill, but I couldn't resist. So I'm scheduled for NOON on Friday. I'll be handing out twitard buttons to all the slutty ladies (per STY's instruction)waiting in line in Ballard (Seattle)

    ReplyDelete
  50. @Heidi - As your Twitard enabler, let me just say if you start to channel Barbara Walters tonight in a pathetic effort to distance yourself from 'us' I will be forced to confiscate your booze AND slap you with my People New Moon Edition. (Or worse, I'll tell readers what our newspaper circulation actually is. World events like fat squirrels?)

Have another little sip - Just 11 hours to go!!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'm getting absolutely nothing done today... I'm seeing NM tonight with two co-workers and we just can't concentrate on something as mundane and unimportant as work. Our office is kind of quiet and dignified, so the sound of 40-something year old women giggling is definitely an aberration.

My boss keeps giving us the evil eye, so now we're emailing each other pictures and snorting out loud at our desks. One of my friends keeps sending us Jacob pics (ewwww...) because she is apparently a pedophile. Ah, good times.

    ReplyDelete
  52. @Twilove1 - The more posts I read of yours, the more I think we could be BFFs. I'm having the same kind of day today. There are six of us here at the office who are ROBsessed and going to see New Moon together. We're a small company of 42 employees, so EVERYONE in the building is aware of the energy level today. Luckily, our bosses are at a convention all week.

I'm getting ready to take my lunch break and the group has been watching "How To Be" on the big-screen TV in our conference room on our lunch breaks. We'll be done with it tomorrow.

    @Heidi - Cool job!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Have fun my dears and be swift like Ninjas. If you hear a sound, break out duct tape, hop over people in front of you and roll towards said perpetrator. Then duct tape the shit out of her!

I'll be wearing my twitarded shirt proudly when I see it as you two helped me survive this year! I love you both!!

    ReplyDelete
  54. @sprtzmom1721 - I'm glad you have twi-fans in your office too! My co-workers and I just watched the "Remember Me" trailer (THANK YOU to @Nibbleit and @Drgnflygirl for tipping me off!!) and now it's definite that no work will get done today. We just can't stop hitting replay....

    ReplyDelete
  55. @sprtzmom1721- Sorry, I just looked back at the earlier posts and realized you were the first to tell us about the "Remember Me" trailer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart - you totally made my day bearable!!!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hey girls! i doubt you enven read this whith all the frenzy around this day.... So the movie is showing here in mexico city since 0.00 hours of today, thursday... don't ask me why. anyway... my fridn and i could only get tickets for today at 6.50pm, because we just have to pretend to be adults and work and can't go to a movie premiere at midnight, as some of you lucky girls... So i'm having my hopes up for this one... though, i know i will laugh with rpatzz pained-face... and will struggle with teens on the teather line....just have to say... with the right look "don'tttt get me upsetttttt" lol. Have a nice showing and squeeeeee as much as you can! there's not much oportunities on squeeing in public in life! Greets from Mexico City.

    ReplyDelete
  57. @Sprtzmom1721 - Holy freaking shit! I had to email this to the non-twilight woman that sits in a cube beside me at work, just so I could use her computer to be able to listen to this trailer. No fucking way am I watching this without hearing RPatzz's voice cause my shit-ass computer doesn't have sound.

Wow! Really - Wow! I am now counthing down for:

    1. Ellen DeGeneres - for RPatzz tomorrow

    2. New Moon on Saturday at 7:00!

    3. Remember Me

    4. Eclipse

Maybe some where along the line I will get over my Robsession...syke!

    ReplyDelete
  58. I am soooo excited for you guys. Of course I am excited to go to the movie myself, but you guys get the whole experience. I am jealous and will live vicariously through you.

    ReplyDelete
  59. P.S. Did anyone want to smack the little tweenie bobber on the Today show that was actually given the opportunity to Talk to Rob and she just made an ass of herself?

Possibly in her defense though - He dazzaled her!

And again - How freakin' hot and cute and dorky and etc. can that man get?

Everyone that gets to go tonight - Have a BLAST!

    ReplyDelete
  60. @Twilove1 - You're welcome!

@ISeeTwiPeople - So did your non-twi co-worker watch the trailer, too? I sit in a cubicle with three other co-workers. Two of us are Robsessed; one is a married father of one (poor guy!); and the other is 36 and refuses to "cave" as she puts it. She did help me with my craft Edward pumpkin, though; even picked it up at the craft store for me and let me borrow her carving kit. I'm pretty sure she's afraid of catching what I have. At any rate, she did say MABYE she'd go and see Remember Me with me since it's not Twilight-related. There's hope yet ;)

    ReplyDelete
  61. @ISeeTwiPeople - We were talking about that during lunch today. It was a totally awkward moment. But what REALLY pissed me off was the gal off to the right of the screen who is turned toward her friend and talking. She had a front row view of Rob and wasn't paying attention? What up with that?!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Only 12 hours until the heavens part and I am once again reunited with what gives me love, life and happiness..... **sigh** I am SO effing EXCITED!!

Can't wait to see the pics of your evening, as I'm sure it will be full of adventure and split my pants laughing antics. I'm also ready for bail funds if needed. = )

P.s. No one makes "twatwaffles" sound like such a term of affection as you two. LOVE IT ha ha ha

    ReplyDelete
  63. @sprtzmom, twilove, suzspetals - all your comments are giving me a snort and chortle, hilarious! Enjoy the show ladies, I'm off-line (if I can stay strong) until Sunday!

P.S. The "Remember Me" trailer had me in a puddle by the end. How is anyone actually that good looking?!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Ok this is my first comment, and first I have to say, I love your blog! But the point of this comment is not me, it's Jen Lancaster. If you haven't read her books get to B&N already! Start with "Bitter is the new black" and be prepared to laugh until Mr. Snarky and ML are ready to call the men in white coats (again). But first check out her blog jennsylvania.com. She has put up the most hilarious New Moon reinactment. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

  66. I will be starting a 96 hour shift (I'm a personal caregiver) at 7:45am on the 20th, but my ass will be sitting at the 12:04am showing of New Moon! Nothing short of death will stop me from being there!

  67. Im praying to the gods that a ticket will still be available for Friday. Im freaking out slightly. I can feel the hysteria building deep within, bubbling to the surface. A squee of seismic propartion is threatning to burst forward...okay, Im channling my fan fiction. Sorry.

Have fun JJ and STY! Take lots of pictures, Twitter the fuck out of tonight. I want to know, EVERYTHING! Im not a wait and see kinda gal.

  68. I'm really excited. About to have dinner and then, off to the movies! It's only 3h30 from now!

    Have lots of fun!!!

For all the "sisters" there aren't going, you'll be there in spirit with the rest of us. I, for sure, will be thinking about all of you (I know, I'm feeling sentimental today).

JJ and STY, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed; hope you win the dinner with Peter F. I'll check twitter when I get home to see if you need bail money ;)

    Kisses.

    SQUEEEEEEEE!

OMG girlz, have a great time in NYC. I second the thought about having a bail-raiser in case you get arrested doing something totally understandable (to us Twitards). If it's good enough we'll be able to sell the video and make tons! ;)

I got my tix this afternoon and will be standing in line for 2 hours prior to showtime. I went out and bought mini-Edward for the occasion, he will have a place of honor in my seat (or squished btwn my breasts if he's too scared by the phasing). Also pulled a total teen move and bought the biography of RPatz and Taylor at Wal-World this afternoon, entertainment while waiting in line! Wearing my TeamEdward shirt, jeans and Rocket Dog chunky clogs tonight, ready to rock me some New Moon! ;)

Veriword: extessi. I'm going to be feeling very extessi in about 6 hours!

  71. You gotta love Twitter and our girls STY & JJ!!!

You can do it ladies - buy PFach, drink in celebration, find RPatz on the streets of NYC, then tweet us the bail amount. :P

Everyone who's going tonight - HAVE FUN!!! I'll be obsessively reading the comments and looking for any indication that this will be everything I want it to be. I know it will - but I trust you ladies implicitly when it comes to all things Twilight.

  78. I am so not getting any work done today....

@Sprtzmom1721 - It made me smile that you carved an Edward pumpkin. How did it turn out? My hubby tried to surprise me by making one (is he sweet or what?) and, sadly, it was total pumpkin carnage. You could kind of almost sort of see what he was going for, but... no. I appreciated the effort, though!

@Z any Mouse - No kidding, Rob seriously is beyond normal, human looking and that trailer had me in a massive puddle too.

@VermonsterMom4Edward - you can get your Twitarded shirt at Cafe Press or Zazzle, just scroll down on the left side of the screen for the links.

@Tammy - You summed it all up perfectly! Let the debauchery begin :)

Well, that passed a little time. Now only 9 hours, 23 minutes, and 28 seconds to go......!!!!!!!!!!!

  79. @Twilove1 - Here's a link to the post on my blog featuring the pumpkin:

    http://17foreverlisa.blogspot.com/2009/10/team-edward-of-course.html

When I was carving it, it was like sawdust flying everywhere. Messy, but so worth it. I had sent a picture of it to my friends as a happy halloween via email and cell phone and no one believed it was real. I still haven't put it away. It's just too awesome.

My first two attempts with a real pumpkin were chucked in the woods on our property. That's so sweet that your husband tried to do one for you, though :)

  80. @sprtzmom1721: I just saw your picture - awesome!! What a great idea to use a craft pumpkin. That's the same pattern my husband attempted, but I think you're a little more crafty than he is :)

BTW - your site is awesome and hilarious - I found it from the cnn.com article, and I've been hooked ever since (which, admittedly, is not that long). I'm driving my husband crazy! Keep up the good work, and enjoy tonight's movie!!!
