Sealing Our Reputation As The Slowest Bloggers In The Twidom!

We're sorry. Really. Sincerely.

I know we have been tweeting and hinting at all sorts of good stories to tell from our adventures in New Moon Madness last night/eeeeaaaarly this morning, and we will get to it. We swear to Chris Weitz (aka "our new messiah") that it'll get done early-ish today. And we'll post so much goodness this weekend that your head will spin and you'll beg us to stop. Cry uncle all you want--we're bringing it on!

But right now we're late for our New Moon matinee...

I know you missed us, too, baby.

I didn't see The Prettah last night. Or else I might be dead. Or deaf. Definitely the latter; not sure about the former. I have heard the noise that Robert Pattinson once described as "what it must sound like at the gates of hell" with my own ears, and my hearing-aid fitting is immediately following the matinee (my ears have stopped bleeding now so I figure the wounds must be healing).

P.S. Good things come to those who wait! [Just don't try to use that line on me because I'm an impatient thing...]

  1. @STY - I don't know about the rest of my fellow Twitards, but I've lost track of how many times I've hit "refresh" today in hopes of a report from the front line :) I, too, am headed out for round two of the movie, with round three immediately following.

    Lisa

word ver: idrie - Idrie right now, but all bets are off after watching the Remember Me trailer, the birthday kiss, and the reunion kiss again in a few hours ;)

  2. No Worries, have fun!
    :o)

Can't wait to hear your stories! Yay for the Kellan meeting!

I'm at work, (2.5 hrs to go!) and then off to a 7pm viewing in the 19+ theatre.

Loved the movie. :o) I was impressed with the lack of screaming last night. There was some, don't get me wrong, as soon as Edward or Jacob appeared but it died off quite quickly. Yay!

Gotta go print off some more coupons to get my free collector cups. :o)

  3. GIVE IT UP ALREADY! LOL teases. Can't wait to hear about it! and SEE it! something has got to keep me awake. 3 point 5 hours of sleep is kicking my ass right now while im at work.

Watching NM again on Sunday, but not sure if i can wait that long though.

  4. Ladies, can't wait to hear more and see some pics of your special night.

I saw it in 9 screen theater with 4 theaters showing NM and one having a doublefeature. For some reason only 16 people (my friends and I being 4 of those) took them up on seeing both. Let me tell you, seeing T. on the big screen just points out all the glaring mistakes/crap that CH put up there.

Anyhoo, the crowd was mainly college girls (maybe 8 guys) and a handful of us older ladies. I had prepared myself for the worst and was surprised...appropriate laughter at the funny parts, sniffling, just a few sighs/hoots at naked Jake and then crickets the rest of the time. It was amazing :) The only part that sucked was when the crowd laughed at Alice's vision of B& E running through the forest in the BD sneak peak. I thought it was confusing (why are they dressed that way, bounding around like gazelles?) but didn't find it funny-- CW could have just showed a beautiful, sparkly Bella.

I can't understand all the horrible reviews it is getting. I thought it was a beautiful adaptation of SM book. Of course there could have been more quotes, Edward could be a little happier at times. But KStew and Taylor stepped up and made me believe in Team Jacob. RPattz disappointed a bit.

  5. I could not wait to check with you girls today ...I will wait no problem ..I have to let you know I just came back from the movie and I loved it loved it loved it ..in about 3 hours I will go again with my girlfriends and I'm sure tomorrow or Sunday too..I loved the colors and the feel of it all ...I cry but I found my self laughing more than anything else even when there were no lines like when Bella and Jacob were talking in the stairs in the movie theater and Mike comes by , simply ingenious ! I feel like I need to bleach my mind all those shirtless boys ..but oh well like Jacob said age is just a number no ? Ok so you 2 write when ever you can ....

  6. I'm biding my time at work in a happy sleepy haze cause I'm leaving in about an hour for New Moon Round 2. I don't understand all of the bad reviews, cause I thought it was fabulous!

@Want2BinForks: everyone giggled at our theater at Alice's vision too. Oh well!

STY & JJ: Can't wait to hear about your night!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Midnight show last night was great, pleasantly surprised by lack of fangirl screaching during the show..

I can understand the bad reviews and I can understand why WE love it so much equally.

A masterpiece it was not...(unless compared to Twilight, haha). But as a fan, it thoroughly satisfied. I think that is the distinction that has to be made. Don't get caught up in the reviews out there...it is what it is.

And, um, never thought I would say this, but let's here it for Team Humans, they had most of the best lines!! The comic relief was unexpected and a nice surprise.

Take your time ladies, can't wait to hear your take

  8. i saw the movie 2 days ago ( im in Australia) and i must say.... i was a little dissapointed, the flow was off, it went to fast and the ending come on its not a soap opera 7/10, the contacts were crap but the sparkles were fab.did you win the interview with pfach?

  9. @sprtzmom1721 - I too have hit refresh and was pleasantly satiated by the little teazer from STY. =)

@STY & JJ - It sounds like you both loved it as much as me since I too have begun a campaign to canonize the great Weitz. PHENOMENAL!!

I honestly didn't have one moment of cringing! Seriously! Maybe close to it during Aro's moment of seeing Alice's vision (you know that fairy tale pick I'm talking about)... BUT, I instantly thought of Breaking Dawn and all cringe possibility dissipated quickly.

Rob - fantastic! Kristen - fantastic! Taylor - fantastic! I walked out of the theatre feeling the way I wanted to feel walking out of Twilight. Last year I was so conflicted...last night I was elated!

Getting ready to see the 7:30 pm show tonight! =)

  10. i just got back from my matinee viewing. lol. im probably seeing it again tonight with the same friend and her boyfriends mom... that makes three viewings in a 24 hours period. id probably be depressed by the pathetic-ness of that if i wasnt so in love with chris weitz right now. seriously. marry me.

can we just all agree catherine hardwick fucked up big time and now its just glaringly obvious? i wonder how crappy that makes her feel.

  11. DILF, DILF, DILF, DILF even in his yellow pants DILF

I have been processing all day in my lack of sleep stupor. Reading comments has been very therepeutic. Overall I LOVED it. The look, the feel (...of cotton--oops sorry I am very slap happy right now), the acting, the special effects, the dialog, the music, the score, the freaking kick-ass Volturi, and freaking Taycob who did a bang up job, even KStew impressed me, and the humor was awesome (and for the most part right where it should be), Charlie, the VitaminR cameo (woot!)and the end--BRILLIANT!

I am not going to spoil here but I do have some things to say about some missing things but I will elaborate on that later when we can openly discuss. Sorry I am a picky biatch/beer. These things did not leave me pissed off like in Twilight though--far from it.

Anyone else have tons of men at the midnight show? There was at least thirty in our theater. Crazy.

It seems like an eternity until my next viewing which is at 8:30pmPST on Saturday. Gaaah!

Big group hug to all Twitards!

  12. @vitaminR

i agree. there were a handful of things that were missing or not right, but im honestly ok with them. only one thing i think was a mistake on their part and the others were about how they told the story i diagreed with. but yeah, they didnt piss me off like twilight did.

and there were TONS of guys at our midnight showing. there were at least 3 groups of guys without girls, and im pretty sure they werent gay men either. AND there were two alpha male football player type teenage boys sitting next to me at the matinee i just got back from too. i was pleasantly surprised by all the men taking an interest.

  13. It was MAGIC!! I was so impressed w/ the obvious talent that directed this movie. Big shout out to Burger King and Virgin America for helping fund this movie HA HA HA.

I was ready to hate KStew in this for effing up every scene, but lord have mercy I was so surprised by her! Only one time (the movie theater scene) did I say, oh there is Twi-Bella.

I sort of get some of the reviewers talking about the pace of the movie. The parts covering Bella & Jacob were fantastic, but it's like towards the end they realized they had eaten up most of the allotted movie time and had to hurry back from Italy. I would have LOVED to see more of when Bella first woke up and thought she was dreaming because Edward was still there.

I about cried at the end, I can't remember the last time I saw a movie end so brilliantly!! CW is my new hero and I love him dearly! 3 hours of sleep before coming to work was TOTALLY worth it for last night!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Don't worry about being on time, i cant wait to read about everything! I'm so glad i found this site you guys are some crazy bitches and you crack me the fuck up! New Moon was effing awesome and totally worth the waiting in a long ass line. AND so glad there were no girls screaming every five seconds!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. (Don't worry no spoilers...)

OH.MY.GOD!! It was brilliant!!!!! Do you think if we started a campaign we could get Chris Weitz to re-do Twilight again as Midnight Sun?!

    The man is a GENIUS!

I swear though the Tweens though.... Lights when out- SCREAMS! Tailers before movie- Screams!, Ratings sign for movie came up - Screams! Edward's first scene- SCREAMS, and Jake's scenes- DEAFING screams!! I thought I had made a very bad decision to not wait it out - But everyone kept sooshing them, so in the end it was bearable...

All I will say is that everyone upped their game with this one, don't know if it was Chris's influence, but so impressed with them all. FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!

The evening session that was going in after mine was ridiculous- there was the longest queue of people snaking out the door I think I have seen, it went all the way down one of main streets in the city centre!!!

I can't wait until we all can discuss it....
Heading to see it again tomorrow - twice in 24hours?! Hmmm, yes, don't mind if I do! :-)

  16. I am such a cheater! When I went to the theatre to buy tickets for myself and friends to view Sunday night, I realized that I had juuuust enough time to squeeze in a showing before picking up my daughter from school. I am so weak (hangs head in shame)! OMG, I loved it, but more on that later. Okay bloggies, do I 'fess up to my friends that I'm a cheater and already saw the movie? Or do I pretend like I'm seeing it for the first time with them? The guilt is already eating me alive...but I'm so glad I saw it!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. @ Twichotic - OMG, I can't wait!!! I know I said I'd be in hiding, but I. Am. Weak.

@ Z Any Mouse - Tell them...after you all see it together. Bwahahaha!

  19. They toally should have "right said fred's" "I am to sexy" playing when Edward walks across the parking lot to Bella.....I think I giggled out loud at that part....mostley cause i wanted to see it again.

  20. Over all L.O.V.E.D it!!! Ohh CW I <3 you, hard!
But like a few others said, I felt a few key things were missing.
Tweens were not a problem at my 1pm showing, but I did have a 58 year old man who was all by himself sitting next to me talking back to the movie.... :/ but for like every 2 chicks there was a dude, I was kinda surprised.

Totally OT, but I can't wait to see Remember Me.

    ReplyDelete
  21. @Z Any Mouse - TELL THEM!!! I'm a guilt whore too and by Sunday, you'll be consumed by it and not able to look into their eyes. Just spill and let them know that you needed to preview it for them. :)

@Mama Cougar - I'll definitely check out your spoiler free review. I appreciate that cuz I'm totally gunshy about spoilers. I have to wait until Sunday to see it and want feedback though. So this is PERFECT!!!

@STY & JJ - No hurry. I can't read anything too telling until Sunday. But I can't wait to hear about K-Lutz (oh yeah - I've coined him a new name, just cuz I'm a nerd and love that his name abbreviated the way of RPatz is KLutz. I know, I'm a child).

@EVERYONE - My excitement has been growing and after reading these comments, I'm positively dripping with anticipation.

I must also confess. My few-week run of TwiVirginity came to an end last night. I broke HUGELY! In a jealousy-induced frenzy, I went looking for all news I could find. Well, I came across the late night interviews and when they showed an exclusive clip - I WATCHED! POP - went my TwiCherry. Ugh.

To my credit though - the second one I came across, I didn't so much as let start. But I still feel extremely guilty.

Ha Ha! The VW: grion. "No! I did NOT just attempt to grab his grion. What kind of perv do you think I am?" ... "Oh - so you can tell I'm the Twitarded kind of perv from just looking at me? Hmm..."

  22. Im going to see it in one hour ladies! Im literally so excited my body is humming with nerves! Insane, I know, but I cant help it. Im hearing so many good things. Whats a Twi-hard to do? I trust your opinions over some crusty old movie critic anyday. JJ and STY, SPILL! Yes, shouty capitals.

Oh, and off topic. I am so PISSED that Rob was snubbed by People magazine for hottest man alive. WTF! Johnny Depp is beyond hot...but Rob is whats hot right now. Come on. Stop falling back on the old winners. Who shall win next year, Brad fricken Pitt...again. UGH!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I made it out alive. My only opinion is that Kristen Stewart still can't act in NM. Oh, and if you haven't read the book, the movie would have truly be confusing. It did a lot of assuming.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Just came back and am seriously surfing the web for other's reactions...can't wait to read yours.

I loved it! I think my favorite part was knowing the soundtrack inside and out before I saw the movie. Seeing where each of those beautiful songs were places was great.

SPOILER The freaking scene where the months flashed by as the camera panned around Bella made me sob out loud. I was totally embarrassed seeing as I went to see the movie alone. (No Twi friends!)

Taylor Lautner blew me away. Not enough to lose my Team Edward stance, but that boy did good work.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Wonderful, awesome, BREATHTAKING! Ahhhh, Robward did not dissapoint me. As if I thought he could... ;)

I too am hats off pleased with CW's directorial efforts. Buy that man a drink! Critics be damned, it was a great film and I think I might have that opinion even if I weren't so obviously non-partial to Robward and the Twilight story. The special effects were awesome, the phasing was superb! I really loved most of it, just wish they would have included more of the Italy stuff from the book, the plane ride, the Edward-Bella convo after Italy, and the like. End seemed a bit rushed, but for 2hr10min, can't complain really.

Taking hubby to see it tomorrow night, that will be my 2nd time. Today I hit BK for my Edward gift card and my crown and trading cards (DORK)! I only confess this to you, my Twitarded sisters! I have all my Twilight contraband in a backpack hidden in my bedroom, including my mini-Edward that I'm loathe to remove from his box! I did take him to the movie tho...and I lost my voice due to reading the VF article outloud to my girlfriend prior to the movie. SQUEEEEEEE!

Can't wait to hear again from JJ and Snark. Trust you aren't in custody....yet. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  26. I freaking loved it, both times....I would sneak out again to see it, but my husband might have me commited, so I will have to wait until the 130 show tomorrow and take him with me. I think Kristen is freaking AWESOME...don't get those that think she can't act? Seriously? She is amazing, and real and love her. Taylor is awesome, I think he has a bright future ahead of him...and he is dead sexy..yowza.

  27. Simply must chime that the WF for this window is DEMON. Hmmm....Robward can be my white demon anytime...... ;)

  28. JJ and STY - can't wait till you spill all!

Saw it at noon today (Seattle) in a nearly empty theater. I'm still in a daze. I was so worried that the suits would turn it into slick Hollywood, but they pulled it off. I loved it. And the end...

My local Twi buddy hasn't seen it yet so we can't compare notes! So I'm ready everyone's comments here. Can't wait til the gags come off and we can analyze it scene by scene :) I want the DVD. Now!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Saw it at 10:30 this morning. I expected a packed theater and was pleasantly suprised that it wasn't. Lots of older moms like myself and to my suprise there were men there also.

I freaking LOVED this movie!! I have to admit this was my least favorite book in the series. It pained me to read it since Edward was missing and I couldn't wait for him to come back. I couldn't give a shit about Jacob and didn't care when she chose Edward over him, hell I was THRILLED. The movie actually had me feeling sorry for Jacob and I had a split second flip to Team Jacob, but that was it. All in all I think this movie was well done, great job CW!!

I just have to say after seeing this movie CH did a crap job with Twilight!

  30. I loved NM just as much the second time around & am already thinking about sneaking in a matinee this weekend before my next "scheduled" showing Monday night (apparently Edward is my life now..) Must resist! It was funny that the midnight crowd was extremely Team Edward, but the audience today was all about Jacob.

Hello to the Twitard I met very briefly today in the restroom in Mira Mesa, CA!

  31. @TwiWeasel and StarlitViolets You're both right, I need to spill the beans, I just have to find the right moment. We're going to down a pitcher of margaritas just before going in, so I'll let the Tequila do the talking. One of my friends knows how Twicrazy I am. I was lamenting to her that "everyone" is going to the midnight show, and she says oh, who do you know who's going? I'm like, uhh, Jenny Jerkface, Snarkier Than You, Stan, TwiWeasel, Sportzmom, Honolulu Girl...You know, everyone! I was so busted!! I guess I can say at least I don't have a gambling problem, heh.

  32. Just wanted to share that Kellen mentioned the auction on leno last night! I was kind of hoping that he would mention you two as well, but he didn't,

As for the movie I thought it was great! A little rushed, and I was kind of disappointed with the lack of chemistry between b & e, but I may change my mind about that after I see it a few dozen more times!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I saw the movie at midnight and I thought it was pretty well done considering there was alot to get in the two + hours.

Watching Jimmy Kimmal last night has now ruined the Bella punching Paul scene for me. If you didnt see it you should.

"Look Im a doggie. woof woof. Hes not doggie, hes chupacabra."

Kristen is rocking some hot ass shoes in her interviews and she looks like to be having fun....finally. Tossing a football. She told jimmy how she tripped over a rock when she was walking. Jimmy asked how that went she replied that she "almost died" from it.

On Ellen Rob looked embarrassed from all the screaming the ladies were doing over him and when Ellen showed the modeling photos. Priceless.

Ver word: Rpattz giveres the most wonderful feelings
