Twitarded Movie Night = Full of WIN!

Mini-Edward, his mentor, and the blogs that love them both...

So I just wanted to say that Friday night's group Twi-watching-fest-o-rama was aaaaaawesome and although my fingers feel like they ran a marathon and I just realized that I now need to drag my ass over to Motor Vehicle Services and get yet another awful photo driver's license to carry around for the next four years, it was totally worth it! Actually this time my photo will clearly show that I am hung over, so that will be a new twist and I am sure will make me even more amazingly photogenic than I already am...

I have no idea what I am trying to do with my massive man-hands...
[note to JJ: this is what I do in your bathroom when I am not peeing or taking pictures of your reading material]

I was going to do a recap of some of the comments from amongst the 1000+ that were furiously hammered out from around the globe Friday night, but frankly they are all pretty fucking funny and much more entertaining when read in sequence. You can pretty much follow along and figure out where we were in the movie just by the comments! If you have a few minutes to kill, check out all the madness in the comments here.

Next time we do something like this, I will disable the need for a veri-word - I'm really sorry that people had to type in veri-words with their comments, but it didn't occur to me until after the fact (and when I read a comment saying it was a h-u-g-e pain in the ass) that it was making it harder for people to keep up. Live & learn!

Note from JJ: I still can't believe how insane that was - it seemed like every time I tapped out a comment and hit submit, there were eighty new comments!

This was such a roaring success imho that we'll definitely plan on doing this again for New Moon! We'll set up a date a little while after the dvd comes out so everyone has a chance to watch it over and over and over again because let's face it - I don't think JJ and I even watched five straight minutes of Twilight Friday night because our noses were buried in our laptops. Luckily I know it by heart at his point...

Say it! Out loud!

The aftermath. But it was all worth it!

  2. I knew you people had to be using more than one computer to do all your work!!! I keep saying I need a computer for Twitter, one for blogs and one for Facebook (especially during Druken Mad Lib Fridays at TwilightSagaPalooza). The movie watching was awesome and I thank you for about the millionth time for hosting it. Can't wait for New Moon.

  4. I had so much fun doing that movie night. It was fucking crazy!! I was exhausted afterward but most definitely worth it.

@Dangrdafne - I usually have two computers set up when I'm... gettin' down to bloggy business. Totally geeky but... really effective. lol.

  5. I'm pretty sure that this all means that no one can top my first time Twi movie-viewing experience! I will of course be watching it again and again, looking for all the stuff I missed (frequently because I was looking at the blog comments or Twitter or both). It was so FUNNY to recognize all the moments in the film that Twitardia has, err...illuminated in various posts and comments. I'm pretty sure the movie was a lot dirtier for all this educational reading I've done here. Which is so WIN. Thanks to everyone for making my first time so special. ;)

  6. Besides the first time I saw it, this was my favorite viewing. I was dying at the comments/tweets and felt like y'all were in my basement with me. I may have been paying for this drunken fun for the past two days but it was sooo worth it.
Can't wait for a Twitarded NM viewing!!! Any thoughts about doing it in gchat? I'm thinking that would make it really easy. I'll join in either way but I was tweeting and commenting and it wad hard to keep up w both. Then again it couldve been the massive pimp cup full of espresso martini that made the multi-tasking hard...

  10. I was mostly on twitter that night so I'm super excited to find a quiet moment at work today to scroll through the blog comments.

Be sure to give us enough notice for NM so we can all plan properly. :)

Thanks again! It was definitely an experience.

  11. Between DML and Twilight, I'm surprised my head didn't explode but I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. However, next ext time, I'll make sure I'm sufficiently intoxicated.

  12. disregard the "ext" in that post. I'm not drunk at 9:52 am on a Monday morning. I SWEAR!

  15. Sooo sad that I missed this, but will definitely be there for the New Moon viewing. I'll figure out a way to shake off Mr. XKR next time (of all the frickin nights of our lives, he decides that he wants to spend time together on Friday? COME ON). Maybe I'll hand him a new video game and a pizza, push him down the basement stairs, and lock the door. 'Love you honey!' ::shove. slam. lock. grin!::

  16. @ XKR--that trick usual works!! add in a 6 pack and you're good to go!

  17. I just wanted to say again that this was so fun and I had a really great time watching (well, more like listening to it - in the background) the movie and reading all you crazy people's comments. I was laughing and snorting the entire time. Cannot wait to do this again for NM! Thanks again for doing this.

  19. This idea was genius and I was disappointed to be in Twitter rehab (also known as vacation) at the time. I'll take a night this week, fill my wine glass and read all the hilarious comments. I'll definitely be there for New Moon.

Also, not the best angle but damn, you look cute in jeans, JJ!

  20. I have to say that I keep going back to the comments and finding some I overlooked and totally cracking up.

We will keep you posted when we do New Moon.
