What Happened to My Power Panties???

What comes up in Google Image search when you look for "Power Panties." Really???
Please note that nobody in any Spanx ad is actually in need of shapewear of any sort.

I've done a lot more traveling than I usually do in the last few months. And at some point while I was dumping things from my dresser into the biggest suitcase I could semi-manage to carry, it occurred to me that my "ladywear" has taken a turn for the worse over the last few years. Or decade-ish. It hasn't been a steep slope, mind you; more like a slight and somewhat imperceptible downhill that took me to a new low before I really even knew what was happening...

When I first discovered nice underwear in my teens, I discovered it HARD. Like make-up and feathered-back hair, it was go all in or go home in my book. I didn't buy anything particularly scandalous in my teens when I first started buying nice lingerie, but I managed to amass - through judicious outlays of what little cash I had supplemented by the occasional five-finger discount - a nice collection of pretty undies. I only wore matching sets. Period. Speaking of which, I don't even think I had "period panties" or "granny panties" at the time. I was all about cute sets of lacy little nothings... And that trend stuck with me for the longest time. I would only wear matching sets of bras and underwear. It didn't always have to be super racy or sexy, but it always had to go together.

Granny panties? Never!

I remember once when I was in my twenties and went shopping with a friend of mine. Let's call her "Nancy" (ok, her name really was Nancy - if you find me here Nanc, call me! I miss you...). We worked together in the restaurant at a country club (don't knock waitressing - it may have sucked a lot of the time but the money was about as good as you could get without there being pasties, glitter, and dancing on a pole involved). She was a little older than me, had a couple of kids, and had been with her husband for a long time. We ended up sharing a dressing room and as we stripped down, I couldn't help but notice that her undies were totally mismatched. If she had been blind and unable to distinguish fabric textures, she could not have been more mismatched. I don't consider myself a snob - at all! - but I remember thinking that I'd always care about what I was wearing under my clothes, no matter what. It mattered, dammit!

Fast forward a decade or so and there I was digging through my underwear drawer trying to find some stuff decent enough that I wouldn't scare JJ, Myg, LKW, or VitaminR70 as we frolicked around in our hotel rooms in Forks. I wasn't necessarily trying to come on to them, mind you (yes there was spooning in Forks and possibly a little girly kissing but I wasn't making an effort to seduce anyone!). But as I've mentioned before, I'm pretty damn vain. So when I realized that most of my underwear were more along the lines of "this boring, stretched-out bra is black and these tatty, not-the-same-brand undies are black and therefore I have a set" than "let's eat popcorn, watch twilight, and have a pillow fight!!!" material, I felt a little embarrassed.

I started thinking about it and realized I had down-graded from Power Panties/"va-va-va-voom" (or at least trying for va-va-va-voom) to "these are comfy" - my Victoria's Secret Angel credit card was collecting dust while I was picking up mismatched separates at TJ Maxx. Or worse. When I read in a tweet or a blog somewhere that Mrs. P had went out and bought special undies for her trip to Forks - like real, honest-to-goodness power panties that would make any fanfic Edward go mad with lust until he ripped them off her body with his teeth - while I had been feeling smug because I'd picked up a couple of three-packs of Hanes boy-shorts during one of my pre-Forks Target mega-sprees, I knew I had to take action. And don't get me wrong: I love those damn boy-shorts and they made damn good sleepwear, which was mighty convenient considering I don't own any other sleepwear and had been borrowing boxers from Mr. Snarky on the few pre-Forks trips I'd taken.

I know I am too old for Hello Kitty boy shorts, but...

But I kind of felt like I'd lost my ladywear mojo or something... I'm a big fan of cute-but-plain cotton undies and refuse to wear anything that's not reasonably comfortable, but I think that the dearth of sexier options in my dresser drawer needs to be addressed. If money were no consideration, I'd definitely go to La Perla or Agent Provocateur or someplace like that... I'd buy hundred-dollar undies that I'd happily let Mr. Snarky rip from my nether regions (of course, if I were disgustingly rich, I would also hire a personal trainer, a personal chef, and someone to follow me around and smack the food out of my hands so I would look hot in said hundred-dollar undies, too...). But given my current financial situation, I'd have to sell a well-used organ or my own semi-used underwear (no kidding - TK sent me this link to "My Used Panty Store" - {{{shudder}}}) to spring for anything fancy. Then again, I do have a little birthday money burning a hole in my pocket and I have been promising Mr. Snarky that when the weather turned cooler I'd consider taking my va-jay-jay back to Zusanna for some fine-tuning, so maybe it's about that time...

I'll work my way up to the "whip me_bite me_eat me_tease me" stockings...

So what's your current state of affairs under there? Are you sporting holey, stained, stretched-out bras and undies that are older than your kids? Do you wear racy, sexy lingerie under your boring ol' work clothes that have you smirking all day at the office? Somewhere in between??? Anyone know how to finance the small fortune that it takes to stock up on nice undergarments? Or should I just say "fuck it" and go commando and stop worrying about all that frill and finery???

  1. It's one extreme or the other for me. I have a gajillion Hanes women's boxer briefs because they are the most comfortable things ever. They do not ride up my butt. (Even the undies that promise not to ride up your butt do indeed ride up my butt. I must be shaped funny.) Anyway, tucked in behind the boxer briefs are a few pairs of panties that my husband bought me. Black mesh butt floss. No lace. No bows. No flounces. They are dead sexy, if uncomfortable. But you can't be sporting pubes with them. That just looks ... ewwwww.

  2. Oh, JMFHF - I have those Hello Kitty panties. Somewhere.

I'm a big fan a tanga panties. They make my rapidly spreading ass look nice and they're sexy.I was never a fan of thongs but apparently I'm ok with a pair a glorified version boy shorts lodging themselves up my ass.

  3. First of all, you looked totally hot in those boy briefs, so hot that I almost went Team Snarky. Okay, okay, I did go Team Snarky. But then I like a good, clean boyshort look, personally.

I've gotten into the tanga lately too, JJ. I am not a fan of thongs, but Mr. Myg is, and well, anyway... *whistles*

You don't even want to know what leftover panties from pregnancy I still wear during period week, because, hell, they are really comfy but not at all flattering.

I have exactly one set of matching bra/panties and I never remember to wear them together. I think that's because Mr. Myg likes the thong/tanktop combo and isn't all that into matching lingerie. Maybe if I lost the last 30 lbs of baby weight that would change, though I swear I can't even remember if he liked it 15 years ago. Shit. Now I just depressed myself.

PJ/popcorn/Twilight watching party at Snarky's house? Who's in?

  4. Hey! I like my Hanes-3-pack-boy-shorts.Oh,that's what this post is all about. Got it.

I lost weight this year, enough to buy some fancy panties. They make 'em in the size I used to wear, but I didn't buy.

Is there anyone in Twi-land who didn't have to show their panties by accident? You know, laying in the ER, realizing the panties you have on are NOT the ones you wanted to be caught,er,dead in?

Hmmm. Wonder what kind of panties vamps wear?

  5. i love those damn hanes boy-shorts, i have to admit. and i think they make my butt look cute (mostly because they cover the whole thing up, i think).

honestly i am not all that concerned with being all matchy-matchy any more - like Myg and JJ i like a nice tank-and-tanga or whatever combo... but sometimes? i just want something really girly and lacy and all that - like something "the office" bella would have worn... and had ripped off of her... with beautiful bastard edward's teeth... um or something like that...

  6. I have a 5 month old mini-monster and a never-ending job (I worked at least 30 hours in just 2 days then realized that I still had to work the rest of the week...and I don't get overtime!) so I'm lucky to remember to put my undies on. If I can find clean undies while searching in the dark and trying not to wake either the mini-monster or the hubby, I thank baby jeebus. Taking the time to match is just crazy talk.

  7. Start small, i.e. cheap, with Gillian & O'Malley at Target. I got some cute stuff there for...less than $5/pair? It was fun just to feel in the mix again, post-pregnancy. See how a cute pattern, a lace insert, things meant to be distinctly pretty and frivolous feel again. Mine are for power-panty situations of all kinds, however few and far between they might be.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Honestly, I think my sad underwear situation is because I'm way too cheap. I buy cute matching sets for the hubby very rarely because I just feel guilty spending money on that kind of thing.

That being said, when I happen to be accidentally be wearing something that matches, the hubby always notices and compliments me. I think it's his way of saying "DAMN IT, WOMAN, go buy more matching stuff!" After reading this post, next paycheck, I'm off to target. ;)

Boy shorts and tangas are my favorite, too. They are so much more flattering than thongs if you weigh +120!! Not to mention comfortable

You know what I can't stand? Those fucking Victoria's Secret commercials with those 105 lb, 5'11'' bitches spouting "I love my body" for Body by Victoria. Oh yeah? You love your body that is making you millions? How sweet. Well I guess what, I love your body, too you h00r. Now go eat some french fries to make me feel better about myself.

  9. @Charla - yup i love their "i won the genetics lottery/ain't life grand???" attitude over at VS, too - lol! that said, i've seen you in person and you are at LEAST as hawt as those chicks - for reals.

    : )

veriword = styllan. "i'm gonna pretend i'm styllan in my tarjay boy-shorts...

    ReplyDelete
  10. & @friendofUST - yup, next time i am at tarjay, i will wander a little bit away from the wall of packaged hanes and fruit of the loom undies - lol! they do have some cute stuff there... when i was shopping pre-forks i saw some fredericks of hollywood worthy lingerie and i told jj that i was going to buy it and wear it to snuggle with her in forks lol! : )

  11. I have those hello kitty undies, don't think they fit anymore after four kids but I hold on to them, dearly. I also have some with quick release sides that the husband used to go gaga for...those were the days.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Ladies, you just need to shop thriftier. Aerie has ADORABLE panties/thongs/boyshorts on clearance for $2 a pair most of the time! They also sell bras to match- and can order DDs! Most stores don't, so I love them since they cater to my big bazongas.

And since we are on this subject, I HATE panties and boyshorts. Ya'll should come on over to the thong side. This is my logic- wedgies are inevitable. Would't rather have a tiny string resting in your asscrack instead of four inches worth of fabric???

    ReplyDelete
  13. Um, considering I had to Google what Tanga was I think I am not allowed to comment here. The end.

  14. @Charla- See, STY has a girly crush on you too, I'm not the only one ;)

@STY- Hmm..undies..I have never been into matching bra to panties and so on. Plus my s/o thinks lingerie is pointless..."it's gonna get ripped off anyway" attitude. HOWEVER he did mention me always wearing the same bra. I wear the Very Sexy VS bra. It's been a staple for years....I asked what kind he'd like and he mentioned white an lacy...no extra padding...So I got one, and of course he thought it was hot, but you can't wear the damn thing under a shirt..no support and hello nipples. PLUS it made me look 2 sizes smaller than I actually am. Boo.

On another note, I don't wear underwear very often to be honest...sometimes they just get in the way. When I do wear them I prefer cotton bikini cut or boy shorts..but the kind that cover your butt completely. Gap and Old Navy have great undies.

PS What are Tangas? Gonna have to look that up?

PSS Now all I can see is STY in Hello Kitty boy shorts. HAWT!

  15. I swear I was just thinking about the sad state of my underwear collection the other day. I'll admit I've never been a fancy, lacy, has-to-match kind of girl, but I used to like them to at least be pretty. While I am still faithful to the thong, the current selection consists of well worn cotton.... so sad... damn, a reason to go shopping! :)

@Mgy - you are not alone, I still have a few pairs of pregnancy panties in there!

  16. gods bless twitarded.
and I'll dare contribute cos I've gained so much from knowing, and now really knowing, allllll of you...

Imagine awkward like this: early teen Brasilian living in U.S. given speedo type underwear (yes its very accepted there) by mom and aunt, occasionally ferried by attractive female visitors in their luggage (small and light, right?) when they visit. Some came as late as my 20's. ...at least I can say they still fit.
Well, I keep an eye out for looks, but dont want no ride-ups either, or scratchy waistbands.
But I use everything: boxers, cotton boxer briefs, synthetic but colorful and shiny boxer briefs that suck in the summer, a few speedo-ish, briefs, and even a couple cheap silk.
So there. Shared way too much, i'm sure.

    g'day ladies ;-)
    I lurrrvs you all,
    xoxo

  17. My biggest underwear epiphany of late is that yes, I can get through the day in a thong. Still not my fav, but I like that I look better in them. And I still have a high-water bootie (at age 48!) and I want to show it off occasionally without the panty lines!

The only reason I even tried them is my sweet, 15-years younger sister-in-law insisted I give them a go. She swears by them and is cool in that way, so I figured 'why not?' My girlfriends have always been the ones to inspire me to do things I would never have considered otherwise (the Brazilian, for example). Now I have to go look up tangas and see what that's all about!

  18. I normally by cotton undies in by the 6-pack and have a couple of neutral all purpose bras.

Fanfic has taught me that men appreciate women in matching bra & panties. The great thing is that you can buy a matching set of sexy undies at Wal-Mart for $10. Even a cheapo like me can spend that much.

Thank you Twitarded for introducing me to fanfic. It's been enjoyable & educational among other things.

  19. I am such a distractosaurus. I've had this shit open for about an hour now, but I keep clicking on things...which remind me of other things...which usually leads to Rob porn. So panties? We're talking about panties?

    I fucking love panties!!

I have never been able to buy matching sets of bras and cooter covers, mostly because my bazooms are specialty store only, but my hips 'n ass are perfectly normal. That, and bras alone cost me at least $50 if I want it to actually fit. Instead, I just throw a bra in my bag when I go shopping for panties, and make sure they match as closely as possible. Does it make me look like a shoplifter? Yes. But at least I get the matchy-matchy I love.

I envy you D cup or smaller girls...I haven't been a D cup since 4th grade. What I wouldn't give to buy a matching set from the same store..............

  20. I bit the bullet and spent 20.00 at Fashion Bug and got 5 pairs of pretty lacey panties, just because I found I had gone into the comfy cotton boy shorts zone for too long.

  21. I too am one of those "blessed" (cough cough, NOT) ladies with extra large hoohas (mine are 40DD) but a fairly normal sized rest of myself, so unfortunately the matching bra and panty has never been meant for me. I have always wanted a lacy, cute purple bra and panty set, but they don't even make cute bras in large sized. Check it out, I dare you.

However, I do like nice cute panties (and I tend to get them in black to match *sort of* my bras). In my college days, I used to cruise the Vic Secret panty table (I think they were 3 for $10 in those days) but sadly they have gone by the wayside. I generally am the 6 pack fruit of the loom all cotton gal, but I would love to have some nice ones for those days you want to feel shmexy...

So, thanks for the tip of Aerie!! I just ordered 6 pairs (two tangas, 4 boyshorts) for $27 + shipping. I have no idea what a tanga is, but I will in 3-7 business days! Thanks guys!! ;)

Please make matching bra and panties sets for girls with big tits but normal hips that don't cost the equivalent of a small developing country's GDP and that I can buy at a normal store.

  24. Shit, I'm going to get filleted here, but I'm commenting anyway. I threw a shit fit in the grocery store the other day because they dared to charge $4 for a box of cereal. 3 stores later & $10 in gas, I picked up my Fruit Loops for $3. Having said that, I will drop coin in La Perla without thinking twice. Mr TK calls Victoria's Secret "slumming it." Why am I always broke?

I used to always match, but now I just try to coordinate. Sometimes the the bra is prettier than the panties or vice versa, kwim?

@Gus--You fit in just fine here. I'm not sure what that says about you. Or us.

  25. I asked Mr Bumpkin if he liked me in matching bra and panties and he said "How would I know if you are wearing matching underwear?".

    Oh dear.

  26. I'm a complete failure at the pretty undergarments thing. I'm just too fucking lazy and I like to be comfortable - this might be why I was attracted to Jockey's "comfies" - I fucking suck.

I tried thongs once... I figured since my underwear pretty much spent it's entire existence in my ass crack, why not? I had to go home at lunch to change - I spent the entire morning trying to dig those fuckers out of my ass crack. Not a good look at the office.

I can't stand anything with lace because it itches like a muthafucka!

  27. I haven't commented here in a while, but I wanted to share a cool shop that has beautiful bras and matching panties for exceptional ta-tas ;)

The site is http://www.bravissimo.com/ and it's located in the UK. I honestly haven't bought anything from them yet, but I absolutely love the clothes and sets they make for girls with curves!

There are price conversions to dollars. I will share once I order something from them.

Oh, and I absolutely LOVE Twitarded! I felt like I went to Forks with you. Thank you so much for doing what you do!

  28. I have a lot of sexy or cute bras but my panties almost never match them. I love boy short underwear though, they always make my fat ass feel sexy! I always think about buying some sexy lingerie but since I have no one to wear it for I stop myself because even though I have been told you should buy it for yourself (not someone else) I am afraid I would just look at it in my drawer and be sad that I am single.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Gheesh What am I gonna have to start making you all matching bra and panties set now.... That's just a travesty!

Being barely a B cup I don't have that problem, but my sister with a fucking G cup does... (Bitch got all the boobs in the family)

There is a small shop in my town that does cater to ladies of larger bra sizes up to an H cup and yes you can find matching sets there, but you pay through the nose. She bought two bra's with matching panties and spent a whopping $200.00 needless to say she doesn't shop there often. This just doesn't sit well with me I know how much material costs and lets face it bras and panties don't use much.

Me I shop at the local grocery store yeah I know its a weird place to get your gauchies from. They have started carrying clothing lately and have some really reasonably price bra sets, I can get a nice lacy bra and pantie set for $22 which is a score for me.

Pre Twilight I had fallen into the comfy tighty whities french cut full on briefs... yup as close as you can get to granny ginch. When I was young and a skinny thing it either thongs or commando for me. I loved my lingerie I even had a stretch lace body suite with strategic openings. But with weight gain... well you know...

Then twilight came along... I started caring again about what I was wearing and well the rest is history.... Muhahaha....

So STY needs a bra set.... Hmmmmm

    ReplyDelete
  30. I don't think I've ever owned a matching set. I have a cotton fetish so no lacy/nylon bottoms for me. I go for the colored/patterned cotton bikinis at Vicky's- the more colorful the better. Nothing like knowing you have a sparkly snowflake hiding under your jeans. I used to consider this my indulgence until I went to Wacoal bras.

There is that pair of "bite me" undies I bought in Forks - saving those for a power day at work.

This is a whole other area where the marketing for Twilight has failed - why not a TWI line from Hanes? You could have a 7 pack of the Cullens - one for each day of the week! Or a girl pack and a boy pack so we could squeeze in Bella, Jacob, and Charlie.

    ReplyDelete
  31. @Gus/Augusto - you know that next time you have a party, JJ and I are going to be digging through your dresser drawers now to see these shiny spandex-y Brazilian banana hammocks, right?? you know, for the blog. we have to. "Mini Edward Goes to...Gus's Underwear Drawer"!! yes. sorry. in advance.

    : )

p.s. @twired jen - er yeah i think @charla has more than a few peeps who developed girl-crushes on her in forks. i know we all did! i mean, how dang cute IS she??? i just want to pinch her...oh nevermind... ; )

  33. My bra/undies collection was in such a state of disarray I HAD to buy new pre Forks...
Unfortunately no vampire laid eyes on them. :-(
But knowing you have matching goodies under your clothes is that little extra confidence boost that helps you get through the day...and part of the night.
I enjoyed the five finger discount when I worked for a retail store while in college. That employee discount was enjoyed by all...the store is now out of business. Go figure...

  34. Oh Snarky...I was in a knicker rut for a LONG time. I'd gone from pretty and frilly and matching to clean and and elastic attached. Then about a year ago, I found my love of fancy knickers again.

I still have plenty of cotton boyshorts for sleeping, but daytime? Tanga, ruffled, thong, full back and every color under the sun....and all rip-able. Please and thank you. I think perhaps The Office changed my knicker drawer. And for that I will forever be thankful to @tby789!!!

  35. @Charla I totes agree with @STY you're just as hot as any VS model only better cause you're a cool chicky on top of it!

Other than that I'm with @VitaminR cause I don't even know what a tanga is...so that probably says it all.

  38. mission accomplished. pretty new panties acquired! thanks for the nudge :)

  39. Yeah I don't do the matching thing but that's only because I can hardly find comfy bras...and when I do, they are like 55 dollars at VS and my cash flow doesnt allow me to go on a bra spree all that much. I do like black so I guess I match a lot if I'm doing black/black but that's about as far as it goes haha. BUT Forever 21 has CUUUTE/sexy underwear and they are like $3.50.

And I'm all about the boycuts unless I'm wearing skinny jeans or a dress that will show underwear lines. Then I'll just have to deal with a thong even though I'm not fond of feeling like I have a thumb up my ass all day.
(Sorry, I freaking hate the word panties and for some reason feel really weird using it).

  40. I lost 30# earlier this year and went out and bought new bras with matching undies. It was fun and like Mrs. P mentioned, I feel better when I know I'm wearing pretty things under my clothes. I'm a bigger girl and it's great that we can have nice things too, unfortunately it usually comes at a hefty price (and fuck you VS for not having more choices for the ladies with big bewbies). I've bought most of my underwear at Lane Bryant. I used to be a 42DDD and that's where I had to shop. Now that I'm a 38DD I have more options like www.soma.com, pretty and comfy.

  41. If the boy shorts or bikini briefs are dirty, I go commando.... and sometimes even if I have clean underwear, I still go commando.
As for matching? I wish I could. But my boobs are way too huge to find ANY bra that is my size and actually matches any panties.

    ReplyDelete
  42. OMG I learn so much from you Twitards (i.e., tanga:)

I'm full-on commando, bottom and top if I can get away with it (I don't get out much;) Other than pantyhose, I haven't worn undies in 30+ years...and tho' I burned my bra back in the 70s, most clothes don't fit well without one so I'll put on some boring old thing if needed. Sad, I know - but comfy!!! I keep a few schmexy pieces on hand in case I get lucky, tho:)

@twimomsrock: guess we know how you got those four kids now, huh? ;)

  43. I'm a comfort girl and have never bought a set. Always found it difficult being a plus size with a C/D cup believing I was a B cup. I used to do the cami and singlet thing or be bare instead of the bra during my 20's, and only found the perfect simple non pain inducing bra at 32. Anyway,I wear those with my cotton hi cut bikini briefs most days at home. They're comfy and provide just the right amount of coverage and support for the extra tyre(s).
The only thongs I wear these days are the ones that go on my feet!
I was sick to death of yanking out those arse crack scratchers! My funky looking hipsters are my shopping undies and I save my pretty/sexy confident enhancing satin/lacy numbers when I'm going ALL out or for some extra special shmexy times!
I'm the discount queen when it comes to my underwear and won't spend loads on them. I picked up my last few sexy bras and knickers for less than $3ea.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'm a boy shorts girl too - solid colors, lacy, or prints. I started buying them over a year ago and find them sexy and comfy. Maidenform seems to be my brand for bras and panties. Shopping in VS is kind of intimidating although I like their catalog a lot. My hub likes a thong on me but seems to enjoy my satin and lace boy shorts. I'm small on top so I like to wear bras with a little padding. My boobs are the first place I lose weight, which sucks big time. Why can't I hold onto the fat in my boobs and lose it from the waist or thighs?

    ReplyDelete
  45. My husband has not read this, so please. I did not let him invade our world. But if you ask him, he thinks boy shorts are totally sexy and good thing, cause I love them. I also dig the hipsters at Victoria Secrets. Those are also super comfy and super cute.

Btw, those Hello Kitty boy shorts-total win.

  46. still looking for my vampOctober 24, 2010 at 12:09 AM

Hipster and boy shorts. I used to be a frilly match the bottom to the top gal, and the I had a kid. Now the boobs are way too big to do any type of matching.

I just invested in Hanes Barely There Hiphuggers. No lines, super comfy, no riding.

I had one of those, "holy shit, look at the undies I am wearing" when I went to the dermatologist a while back. I had to strip to my underwear and bra for my skin exam (you gotta do those when you live in AZ), and I had a hole in my underwear and some pubes sticking out and saying hello. I could have died.

  47. no I had no idea I had opened myself out to a party underwear drawer raid! What the? What's Ed want in there anyway, he got plenty o' shine goin on. He don't need mine. But if inquiring twitarded minds want to know, well, I'm no match against such unstoppable forces, or all o' yer undie HAWTnasses.
..maybe i'll stock a few surprises for the next party.. tho no, no one will ever find me anywhere other than Kohl's or some other big, simple guy stuff kind of store. just sometimes they got something shiny.

@TexKat, and Twired jen.. fit in? shit! I'm the luckiest man alive! that's what it says about me. What it says 'bout all u twatwaffles (where else on the whole fn planet can I EVER say that and survive?!) is you're all very open.. ..minded, that is, to what works whether it be boy or girl hOOrs. But really it doesn't say crap, cos y'all just runnin away with it all and I'm just keepin up. Serious.
    xoxo

  48. I was into the cotton boyshorys almost exclusively until recently. They still make an appearance as my P-panties (ninapolitan, that was for you) but I have started to make more of an effort. My husband couldn't care less but I feel good in pretty undies. And the prettier I feel, the sexier I feel so he wins. You'd think he'd catch on to that but what he really wants to see me is his old 49ers tshirt and a pair of matching 49er shorts that are so tight they ride up my ass. It's a lot cheaper than La Perla so I guess I should be happy. And I wear my dead sexy red bra and panties just for me!! My newest trend is totally see-through bras. Bow-chicka-wow-wow!!!

  51. I had about the same epiphany before heading to FOOOORKSSS! lol VS is expensive, but sometimes a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do! I've never been real into the whole matchy matchy thing, but I did used to have a MASSIVE (I'm talking 200+ pairs) underwear obsession. Unfortunately, they were cheap, since I was young. I've now come to appreciate quality over quantity. Some times it just hits you one day that it's really time to buy new undies, like OMGRIGHTFUCKINGNOW!

I'm a thong girl myself. VS has the most amazingly comfy, yet lacy and still sexy (in my book anyways!) undies. They are cotton with a lace top, super duper soft, not itchy and the bestest ever. I've got a few oh-la-la tres sexy pairs that usually stay in the drawer cuz they aren't terribly comfy. My new VS bras that I got have little sparkles on the straps and it makes me happy and feels so good to have pretty, new bras! It was definitely a small fortune to get everything updated, but totally worth it!

  54. still looking for my vampApril 29, 2011 at 10:31 AM

  58. Dear lingerie makers of the world,
Please make matching bra and panties sets for girls with big tits but normal hips that don't cost the equivalent of a small developing country's GDP and that I can buy at a normal store.
    Thanks.

    Love CC

  60. I love the appearance of all of the different panties you featured in the photos above. The print, red leg-hole and gusset seams of the giant granny panties look fabulous, though the do look a bit large. I love the 'Hello Kitty graphic (you're never too old for it) and those sheer black lace full briefs look gorgeous.
I have found that full brief nylon granny panties can be quite reasonably priced at a number of retailers like HerRoom, Bare Necessities, FreshPair, Shop National and One Hanes Place, and have purchased them there. You can see what all of the panties look like whilst being modelled and reviewed by me on my panty modelling and review blog: Full Brief Panties
