The Great Collective Shriek of 2011 - Breaking Dawn Pt. 1 Trailer!!

I've more or less been miserable all day but I finally dragged myself online and OH MAH FUCKING GAHD IT'S THE BREAKING DAWN TRAILER!!!

I know that I've been pretty rough on the whole Breaking Dawn: Before the Spawn movie and all but... I got excited, people. Like, really, super duper, excited.

And I may or may not have creamed myself a little when Edward yelled, "YOU'VE GIVEN ME NO CHOICE!!" Grrrrr, Angryward. You make my brain mushy and my lady bits go haywire.

I think this movie just may have a shot at being decent and not completely sucking hairy monkey-asshole, bad Carlisle-hair and all (the headboard scene will TOTALLY make up for that, I'm sure). And even though the wolves don't look so...

You know what? I'm not going to go to there. I'm just going to sit back and watch this trailer again.

And again.

Okay, one more time...

  2. I actually got excited too!!! A miracle really, with only a few negative comments - Carlisle's wig (along with the rest of the world), I think Alice looks funny, the wolves acting skills are still awful when in human form and Ron looks ugly in places. Apart from that *squeals* I think I might actually be looking forward to this.........

  3. so I have watched the trailer on continuous loop now for oh, 90 min or so other than a quick ck to twitter and FB-
They may need to scrape me off the floor of the theater after this one-
    Angryward- how I love you-

  4. I FLOVE THIS MOVIE ALREADY!! & i think i can make my brain ignore bad-hair-day-Ken (whoops! i mean Carlisle), and keep him gorgeous! but YES---ANGRYWARD RULES!!

  5. It looks a hell of a lot better than I thought it would, that is for fucking sure. Carlisle still looks like roided-out dead linebacker, but I digress (see my tweetah about the Beetlejuice homage). I too got all a flutter, er, um, yeah I really got way the fuck turned on when Eddykins yelled at B. She's a bitch sometimes and lame too--come on, we all know this is true. Yeah, JJ, he had me at the yelling Angryward too!

Thank god bc, although death or another ravenous hella-hawt vampire couldn't keep me away (WTF, yeah a hella-hawt hungry vamp could totally keep me away, at least from opening night), I'm still going to that fucking movie no matter how shitty the trailers look.

I've learned that they always look shitty at first, then I grow to like them. Then I see the movie and I'm always disappointed, then i grow to love it. Vicious circle...

    sorry, word puke

  6. Was so excited to see you excited, especially since I feel I'm the only Twitard who liked BD! It didn't disappoint!!

  7. holy shit, I hadn't been online all day and had no idea that this had hit the twiverse!

    One word: Angryward. *schwing*

I'm super excited, not gonna lie. And let's face it, even if it does suck, I'll still love it. Cause it's fucking Breaking Dawn. I'm such a shameless h00r.

  8. It's gonna suck.

    I know it is.

    I don't care.

I'll be ordering my tickets for the midnight showing first thing when I wake up Saturday morning in Foooorks!

    Headboard. Headboard. Headboard.

  9. Eek!!!!!!!! Replay replay replay! I know it's probably gonna suck but who cares...ANGRYWARD!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. Oh yes, two words: Angryward & Headboard!! I'll be watching this trailer over & over...

  12. All I know is that trailer made me giddy all afternoon. I saw Jamie's tweet and clicked the link on my phone it took forever to load and would start and then load again. So took an "offical" break at work and went outside to see if I could get 3G on my phone to help the trailer load and still play 3 seconds and then reload. I texted my husband right away to set Access Hollywood up to record on the DVR. So I watched in on the big screen and I can't wait to see it on the IMAX screen!

I don't know why I got all execited when Edward yelled! It did serious things to my girly bits!

Ok...I'm going to watch it again!

  13. Holy black irises batman! Did you see how freaking scary Edward looked? Holy smokes, that's hot!!!! And when he shouted, 'You've given me no choice!' I swear there was a collective climax. Sighs... I'm going back to watch it again, and again, and again...

Hey JJ, do you think maybe now you wont throw scissors at Stephenie Meyers head for ending the saga this way?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yeah, I know, I've already commented, but after watching it several times more a thought occured to me. My absolute favorite part of BD is when Edward hears the baby's thoughts for the first time. Remember when he bends over the belly and hesitates, then gently pressses his ear to it... then gasps. I LOVE that part!!!! It's when Jake gets totally rip shit and tears off with Edwards Aston Martin. I swear to God if Summit fucked that scene up I'll launch myself at the screne and stab their oversized crothces with a nail filer!

Anyone else have a favorite part?

  15. Ohmifuckinggod!!! I hadn't seen this trailer yet. It had been awhile since I have cruised the ol' Twitarded site, and thank God I did. Marvelous!! Did I think this last book was a fresh pile of dog shit? Absolutely. Am I excited for the movie? Regardless of what anyone thinks of P.F.'s hair, I will now be counting down the days like a virgin to prom night. Thank you so much for that treat!! Better go watch it again...

  16. Anyone know how I can get "last night was the best night of my existence" as my ringtone?

  17. I. CANNOT. BREATHE.

I'm so excited, I can't even stand it. I think the movie looks amazing. Ummm ... Charlie crying? Dead. Holy shit. I'm gonna go apeshit waiting for November 18th.

However .. anyone else feel like they saw the whole movie? I mean, the only thing they really left out is actually showing Renesemee and Bella all vampy. Oh well, I'll still be fangirling for the next 65 days.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I. am. dead. Even my anti-Twilight hubby thought it looked good. Thank you Bill for directing this movie!

  19. So not fair. I watched this as soon as I turned on my computer at work this morning. AMAZING trailer ended with the option to Replay and I have to clock in dammnit. Just want to watch this over & over.

  20. I think this movie has a shot at being decent even though Summit's crack hair and make-up team did their best to make sure some of Hollywood's hottest bring the fugs.

With that said - I do think Bella looks good in the wedding scene (but I haven't seen a dress yet) and I finally think they got Alice's hair right.

    "It's gonna suck.

I'm with you. And I am totally turned on with Robward. He'll totally be enough for me to see it more than once.

  22. I HAVE TO WAIT ALL DAY NOW UNTIL I CAN WATCH THIS AT HOME!!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!! Oh...maybe someone in my office has full internet access.

*going to try & hunt someone down who does*

    ReplyDelete
  23. I love Angryward. And sweet crying Bella and "this is how I'll remember you... pink cheeks..." *sob* and teary Jacob *sob* and Edward sweeping Bella off her feet *sigh*

    THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME.

    ReplyDelete
  24. 'You've given me no choice!'=LADY BONER! I disliked BD- no bueno! But this trailer got me all kinds of perky for this movie.

My favorite scene from the book was when Rosalie makes Jacob a dog dish.

Carlisle's hair is bad, but WTF did they do to his eyebrows? He looks dead(er)?

    ReplyDelete
  25. *thud*

I'm with everyone else on Angryward... I gasped very loudly while watching that part *fans myself* whew! November can't get here soon enough!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I just...*runs off to watch again.*

    ReplyDelete
  27. My thoughts were the same as TheRugbyMom.....until I watched this and started getting excited!! BD is my least favorite book, but I'm optimistic that Bill did it right. You know we'll all overlook the flaws and watch it over and over and over....

Despite Carlisle's hair (can he sue?) we have Headboard, "last night was the best night of my existence" *sigh*, Charlie crying and Angryward!! BRING IT ON!!

For once I'm looking forward to November....

    ReplyDelete
  28. I can't wait it seems like forever, and I must admit I was starting to lose interest, but watching that i'm soooooo very excited yay.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I know! HOLY CRAP RIGHT?!?! Holy fuck this looks good!!! And the acting even looks pretty good ;)

  30. Was it just yesterday when I posted that I didn't really like the movies? Yeah, well... this clip makes me so excited I think I might have to recant my earlier post.

  31. I regret to inform you all that Mama Cougar left this world yesterday afternoon at approximately 4:34 pm CST. The girls in the office, after repeated attempts at defibrilation, could not revive her and watched helplessly as her human vessel melted into a puddle of indiscernable goo in her $500 ergonomic leather office chair.

Memorials can be made to "Twitards Anonymous" in care of LKW, JJ & STY. They will see that the funds are used for "epic fuckery" which is what MC would have wanted.

    RIP Mama Cougar.

  32. Holy crap. I have to collect myself a bit. Thoughts:

Carlisle looks semi-decent in a quick background shot when E/B are leaving for the honeymoon, so all hope is not lost.

Jacob with some scruff on his face is extremely fuckhawt. *swoon*

    Headboard. 'nuff said.

Can't wait, can't wait for November!!

  33. For the first time since the "blah" reviews at ComicCon, I felt hope...

  34. or was it "meh"? one of those... regardless, MUTHERTRUCKIN' SQUEEEE!!!!

  35. So excited!

Recently discovered my mother is a closet Twilight fan. Who knew!

On another note, what's chance we could get ballcaps from Cafe Press?

  36. Holy Crap! Angry Robward! Angry Robward! Angry Robward! You can yell at me like that all you want!

    ReplyDelete
  37. MUST BREATHE.....need a paper bag.
    So fucking excited!!!
    YAY, my passion is back.

    ReplyDelete
  38. This is exciting, for sure. But I am so sad to see Edward looking ever more human. As goofy as he was sometimes (often) in Twilight, that element of danger, of sexy freakishness--remember those eyes at the accident scene?, that "last "say it"?--is now gone.

Like Carlisle etc all, he's been modified in a wax works way.
And as Edward looks more human in the later movies, he looks a lot less especially handsome then Rob Pattinson actually is. I was more or less bored for much of Remember Me, but still remember the knocked my socks off shock of seeing what Rob really looks like for the first time. Oh Jesus. And remember the scene where he's standing by the window looking out. That is what makes me melt.

In the BD preview, tho, he's Robward and all, but just doesn't look so f-able to me.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Does this movie end with Bella grunting out the adorable little bundle of joy? Crap! Roll credits...see you in one year ladies. Is that it? That is so unfair. **stamps foot**

So sorry to read of Mama Cougar's untimely demise. I'm sure her ghost is doing its damnedest to possess KStew's lucky little ass as we speak (er, type.).

  42. All you peeps saying that the movie would be awful...singing a different tune now are you?
Love. Love. Love the books. Love. Love. Love the movies. Traitors! How can you love Twilight yet say the movies suck so hard? It's Edward. Nuf said.
BUT, if this first movie ends with Bella grunting...so help me GAWD...
Seriously, who can send me some xanax?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Gah, I can't stop watching!! I get goosebumps every time I swear. Can November please hurry up?

But, why, WHY do they insist on giving them all (except Bella this time) shitty hair?? Poor Carlisle. And where is the bronze bouffant? I miss that hair on Edward. I'll take Angryward any day though. Yum!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Oh! I liked this trailer a lot. Was away and only now have had a chance to watch. I'm soo behind.

Love how Bella looks for the wedding. Edward, although handsome as all hell during the wedding, kind of freaked me out because of the light eyes and heavy makeup. Honeymoon scenes, I'm hoping they're going to be sexy and look natural. My fingers are crossed. Carlisle looks like shit. What's with his hair? Damn!

    Gotta watch again, and again....

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'm confused though...when do they fight the wolves? I am reading BD again now & am at the part where they just realized the Volturi were coming but I don't remember our vamps fighting the wolves. In one of these scenes, it lookes like Jasper....anyone?

    ReplyDelete
  46. @likeitlemony go to Robsessed to download the audio bites

  47. OHMYWORD!!! I finally watched it last night! I am so excited to see this movie now! It looks GREAT!!

@Sabrina - There was never an actual fight in the book but maybe the director is adding his own views to make it more exciting?? I know Seth gets between Bella & Jacob. The wolf pack threatens to go after the Cullens. So maybe he just added a little something extra. You are right though.

    ReplyDelete
  48. @sabrina- They don't fight the wolves. Jake runs into the woods and meets Sam head on. I think (if memory serves correctly) that that's when Seth and Leah follow. I need to reread BD, just to get my barrings again.

  49. Okay, so under normal circs I'd be wanting to fast-forward to November right about now, just so that I can see this epic movie (bad hair-do's and all). However, there's a rather timely interlude in the shape of #Forks2011 that is going to tide me over until we Brits get to see #BD1.

When I return from Forks, however, I'll be chomping at the proverbial bit for this movie! Sure, there's lots of stuff that looks all kinds of wrong--and I hate that Edward is looking more human in every single take--but we get the honeymoon, people! OMG!

Just gimme the headboard scene on rewind--over and over and over again :-)

  50. I would like Fierceward on continuous loop....yes please...Sir.

I wonder if Nick Rhodes will be invited to the London premier...in place of Peter that is.

    ReplyDelete
  51. LOL, Nick Rhodes. That is epic.

I can;t stop watching this nor do I want to. My lady bits can hardly contain themselves with it all especially FierceWard.

Seriously will November 18th ever get here? What will happen when I see another trailer? What will happen when I see a trailer on TV? GOD help me if I see a trailer in the movie theater...GOD help everyone around me.

    ReplyDelete
  52. HOLY SHITBALLS!!! I think I just caught a major wave of something I didn't have for this movie until now... FUCKING HOPE!!!

Late to the party, as usual, but DAYUM! and UNGH! and YES-MUTHAFUCKIN-PLEASE!
