Cosmopolis Full-Length Trailer!

Many of you may have watched this late last week when it came out, but I know that inexplicably some of you rely on Twitarded for your news-ishy stuff. And even if you have already seen the full-length Cosmopolis trailer, I know you'll want to watch it again and again and again, or at least pause on a few choice frames to get you through your Monday.

I will admit that sometimes I can be a little...skeptical when it comes to a certain someone's acting chops, but I have the feeling that THIS is going to be AWESOME.

  1. That's me- if I don't see/read it on Twitarded I don't know it's happening.

This is my favorite kind of trailer- one that shows enough imagery to get me titilated, but is so disjunct as to not give anything away. I'm in. Looks like this is going to give some valuable visuals to some of the darker Sex/Scandal/Sullen/Gritty/Power Edwards from FanFic Land.

    1. I will say that had this trailer come out a few years ago, the majority of the fic Edwards would have looked juuuuuuust like this.

  2. Holy crap, I had no idea he could make some of those sexy faces. This movie looks amazing.

And yes, I am among those who count on you all to catch me up on the twilight-y news that I miss!

  3. I saw both of the full-length trailers, and this was the better of the two by a wide margin. I hadn't thought about it yet, but we have already envisioned him in so many "roles" through FanFic that it would be a big stretch for him to find a part we aren't prepared to handle.

Some of the best roles are the ones where they play on the edge, and this just may be that one that gets him the credit he deserves and opens doors that Twi may have closed for him. Can't wait!

  4. I am very anxious to see the movie. From the looks of the trailers, it looks like Cronenberg has captured DeLilo's story. That is truly something to look forward to, but if you haven't read the book, you won't know what is going on and you'll hate the movie.

Of course, when it comes out on DVD, you can just turn off the sound and play that sucker over and over in slow-motion! Who cares about the story? Look at the face/jaw/hair/fingers/suit/eyes/lips , , , , just sayin'.

    1. I keep hearing that - that this is one of those times where you'll really need to read the book to get it... I might have to check this one out, although the eye candy will be worth it even if I have no clue what is going on lol...

  5. I think this movie will do very well. Not only does he look freaking gorgeous but it promises shit guys like, explosions, guns, and naked chicks. I'd be shocked if Rob isn't taken as a serious actor after this.

    1. I really have high hopes for this movie. I truly hope RPattz does a fantastic job because I suspect this role could possibly make or break his career.

  7. It's true....The book is going to be an important piece of info to have before seeing the movie. But I've sat through some mind fucks and got through just fine, so I'm sure we'll be okay with this kind of dark, sexy, dangerous Rob.

  8. See, I think the opposite. The book was torture to read so my advice is to go in ignorant and not put yourself through it!

It seems to mirror the book pretty closely. I don't think anyone will be lost and it will be one of those rare times that the film will surpass the book.

    1. You didn't like the book? Why not? I haven't read it and I was planning on getting around to it but I'm genuinely curious what you didn't like about it.

  9. It was just an unpleasant read. The way he writes is very disjointed with strange sentence structure. BUT...it was fun to read it imagining Rob, so there was that.

Also, it's not a genre I'm drawn to - so I'm a bit biased. It's a quick read, though, so I don't want to discourage anyone!

(I blogged about reading it here, FYI :>p - http://allergictorobertpattinson.blogspot.com/2012/04/reading-robmopolis.html)

  10. Rob looks so attractive in this trailer it physically hurt, deep inside my rib cage, to watch.

  11. Yep. It's kind of hard to read. He's a genius - with ADD maybe? [Sorry - don't mean to offend anyone with that comment.] His train of thought is all over the place. Probably because he does something I never new the male species could do - multitask!

**SPOILER ALERT** If I recall it right, he seduces a woman while the doctor has his finger up Packer's ass! Day-um! Boyz got mad skillz!
