SQUEEE ALERT! The First Breaking Dawn II Trailer is HERE!!

Here it is, people! The first Breaking Dawn II trailer! There was a 10-second sneak-peek yesterday but this is a minute+ of BDII goodness! Or thirty minutes if you watch it repeatedly twenty-something times in a row. Just sayin'.

As I said when I watched this after Lorabell at TwiCrack Addict posted it earlier, JMFHFSQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Someone hold me.

I am SO... excited?...relieved??...to see some action here! Because really, the "fight scene" in the book - if they filmed it as it was written - would be as boring as watching paint dry. It would be like watching a slow-motion game of chess. OK maybe not slow motion chess; I only ever watched someone else play chess in high school because I was in luuuurv (and everyone was high). Anyway, I don't need to tell you guys, but in the book, everyone just stands there for a while exchanging insincere pleasantries and giving each other the stink-eye (and Irina bites it). Bella would maintain a look on her face that would make it appear she's super-vampire-constipated. They may or may not somehow show her protective bubble that I forget what to call but I am having a rough day so cut me some slack. So I have no idea how they are suddenly sprinting across the clearing towards one another like they mean srs bsns, but it made me really happy regardless. (This is possibly the only time you will ever hear me sort of praise Melissa Rosenberg. Don't get used to it.)

HOW EXCITED ARE YOU?! Discuss.

  1. There is nothing that makes me look forward to this movie. Hopefully they can spice it up with a good fight scene.

Yeah, I'll still go see it in theaters 5 or 6 times, and order every "special edition" DVD. It's Edward Cullen, bitches!

    1. He does somehow look different/better here - I only wish what he didn't have the exact same hair color as Bella - I will never stop mourning the loss of the Big Bronze Bouffant. {{{sniff}}}

    2. Oh, me too, me too! My biggest lament over the whole BD experience...Edward's hair is wrong, wrong, WRONG!!

  4. Why does it have to end??? I don't want it to end!! I admit there was a tear or two when I saw the trailer for the first time....hell, there were tears after the 20+ view. This is the movie that I know I will be a sobbing mess when the credits roll.

  5. Kristen and Rob do look beautiful. I'm having a hard time with Renesmee aging an extra 5 or 8 years...unless we all never read that Forks is actually a town in the land of Ork?

    1. It is a pretty big departure from the book, but that said, I am glad they don't have some CGI toddler-monster all over this movie. And I suppose they are not taking her shopping over at Mike's store every day lol...

  6. I'm with you @Snarkier Than You, RIP Big Bronze Bouffant. Maybe she will seriously mess it up with all that hot cottage vamp sex that had BETTER be in the movie.....

  7. It looks promising, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much. It has got to be beter than BDI (how could it be worse?) - I hope. Let's all cross our fingers...but not hold our breath on this one.

  8. The look on Bella's face at the end, as she's running towards the others, is fabulous. She looks so damn determined to fight for her family. LOVE IT. LOVE THE TRAILER.

  11. I loooooved it! I tend to be very not-discriminating when it comes to Twi, so I probably would have loved anything just out of sheer excitement. The bit with the deer and then Bella peeks through the trees... she looks utterly creepy, and I LOVE that. I also love that it is reminiscent of the opening scene of the first movie.

    1. I don't know how this is all going to shake out in the end (I wasn't a huge fan of BDI) but this trailer is giving my the chills a tiny bit. But then they always do make kick-ass trailers lol...

  12. I was so not looking forward to this movie - pretty much for all the reasons you listed in the last paragraph of your blog, but kudos to Bill and Melissa - they have turned 350 pages of utter nothing into what looks to be a very good Twilight movie. (I have to qualify so my movie snob friends don't kill me, but they aren't on this blog anyway!)

Kristen and Rob look awesome!!!! I am with you on missing the bronze bouffant, but Rob looks fine in this trailer. Kristen may look her best yet! I still am hating the Alice helmet hair - Ashley is such a pretty girl in real life they must have had to work overtime in hair and make up to make her look that average.

    1. They hit almost everyone with the ugly stick in these movies... Seriously, Peter Facinelli is HOT irl and he looks like Liberace's younger brother once he is all done up as Carlisle...

  17. I have zero expectations for this movie. The only reason I was so excited about it was because I knew it was the last time I'd probably be super-SQUEEEEEEING over anything Twilight related (well, that's new, anyway).

Then I saw the trailer. It looks FUCKING GOOD, YO.
