Basking In The New Moon Afterglow...Or Not?

You can't turn away from me for a second...Stop pretending.

In the build-up to the release of New Moon, things seems almost unbearably exciting. The anticipation was palpable - the blogosphere practically crackled with energy and people questioned whether they might have some sort of mental breakdown on The Big Day or in the days leading up to it [well, except for JJ, who was concerned she was going to crap herself. That's my girl...{{{sigh}}}]. The feeling was comparable to that of being ten years old and having Christmas, a trip to Disney World, and the last day of school all rolled into one breathtakingly stupendous super-event! (Er, except we're NOT ten years old and the event in question stars a panty-soaking hottie.)

Aaaaaand now it's over.

**cricket**cricket**cricket**

So how are we doing now?

In the days after seeing the movie, I felt the anti-climax set in... Was the honeymoon over??? Now what??? Perhaps the fact the Thanksgiving was just around the corner kept people from immersing themselves right back into the Twidom. Or maybe the holiday was a convenient reason to take a breather and recharge the Twilight batteries... JJ and I were around, but things seemed a little quiet...

What do you think? I know that like me, most of you - whether you have a blog or not - spend an inordinate amount of time online pursuing all things Twilight (and yes, "all things Twilight" includes spending hours and hours looking at hot pics of RPatts and storing them in that secret folder on your computer). Even when I'm not online, I'm still thinkin' about Twilight and blogging (there is apparently no "On/Off" switch for this, or if there is, mine is stuck). Have you been cutting back lately? On a crash Twiet?? Thinking maybe you need to sneak a non-vampy book into your Twilight Saga rotation??? Or are you already starting to build up to Eclipse--with a nice big dash of Rob-a-licious "Remember Me" thrown in to help pass the time between now and June?

Let us know what you think! Are you still burning at a wolfy 108 degrees? Are you cooling off like Edward and his sparklepeen??? Answer the poll below and then tell us what you think in the comments!

  1. Still burnin' baby! Obviously...since it's all I think about. And even saw it 4 times in a week despite having a 16 mo old & a 5yro...and thanksgiving :) And also starting a blog about it. So yeah. Completely and totally irrevocably Twitarded over here!

  2. Oh, I can't WAIT for Remember Me to come out *swoon* I thought seeing New Moon would finally get me out of my Twi-obsession enough to be useful, but, alas, no, it's just as bad as it's always been. Finished writing one fanfic, starting writing another, and still trying to follow the blogs and other fanfics. I'm hopeless.

  3. Even though I've seen New Moon three times, I'm still uber excited to be going again this weekend with my mom! Maybe not as excited as I was for the premiere, but still excited enough to squee about it on twitter. ;)

  4. I'm still on a total NM high. I need to see it again. Now. Why don't theaters have midnight showings every night ? I've never anticipated anything so much in my life. I was so wrapped up in my post coital NM glow that I didn't even realize Thanksgiving was coming up until 2 days before. Now I'm irritated that Christmas is going to cut into my NM time. Yeah, I'm a bad person. What of it?

  5. I'm still just as obsessed. Though I felt an odd mixture of depression/elation at the end of the midnight showing. It's like the day after Christmas. WTF do I do now??? Haha.

  6. I'm living for March at this point. I am so crazy excited to see him as Tyler! Other than that, I've backed off Twilight a bit - but only b/c of FanFic. Twitarded got me started, and I haven't been able to stop reading. I have WAY too many going right now, starting to get my E&Bs mixed up even. Every fuckin time I have email I hope there's an update for one of them and get seriously disappointed when there's not! BTW - JJ-I could seriously use an udate on 15 Step :D
Also, that Vanity Fair that stays in my car so that I stare at the pics in traffic is also tiding me over!!!

  7. Just ridin' the wave, Baby! Just ridin' the wave!

We have "Remember Me", then the DVD release of "New Moon" before we start that immense rush of the Eclipse media junket in June!

After that....well, I guess, "Bel Ami" and "Unbound Captives'.

Now THAT'S one I'm looking forward too! Rob......tanned, scruffy, possibly hair extensions, half-nekked in a loin cloth...3-2-1---------THUD!

  8. I'm a mess, not even going to lie.....I don't really know what to do with myself now....I guess let the countdown begin.....what is it like 6 months....oh crap, kill me now!

  9. what happened to the still basking in the afterglow wanting to cuddle option?

  10. ugh, i'm just as twitarded and robsessed as i was 3 weeks ago. :)

...and i can't wait for "remember me" to come out!

  11. My Twilove1 and I are going to see it tomorrow. Only my second time so I'm practically a New Moon virgin and I'm super excited! I expect to catch a lot of things I missed the first time around.' Remember Me' is in the queue right after New Moon. As soon as the NM excitement wanes I will begin anticipating Rob's nonEdward performance. Yep. I'm still all atwitter. :D

    Fkat

W/V: bigin.....I will bigin to be excited about RM when I am done being excited about NM.

  12. I'm at a perfect balance right now between post-New Moon excitement (going again this week!) and getting ready to be Santa for my sweet little boy. All is good in the world!

  13. My obsession has been waning for a while. Even before New Moon came out. I didn't have the same "crush" on NM as I did Twilight. Hopefully Eclipse will be better but I think I've already reached the pinnacle of my Twilust and now I'm starting to coast.

One thing that has been fun is a new devotee. LizardStew's cousin just got into the books and movies. She went to see NM with us 3 times and she's just starting to read Breaking Dawn. She doesn't know about Renestard or anything that happens. It's fun to watch her get so excited about it all.

  14. As a lover of the Pattz, I still check all my typical LJ' and Blogs. But after NM, my love of Twilight and such has kinda tapered off.
But as soon as we get some news about Eclipse I'm sure I'll be back in full force. But for now I'm counting down to March and hoping for little bites of Remember Me or his other 2 movie to fill my need. But I'm truly looking forward to Remember Me (I'v read the script, it was awesome!)
Ooooh and the NM dvd will be coming along sometime...
I think were heading in to the times were a little Rob/Twilight will have to go a long way. *pouts* But at least we have each other! \o/

  15. I'm feeling as if the media is somehow letting me down. They're the ones who created this monster the whole week leading up to the release...(late night talk shows, E! premiers, MTV premiers, magazines' glorious objectification of TL!!) and now I feel as if they've left us all holding the bag. I'm relentlessly searching for the slightest nibble of info for the Robert and Kristen hookup or the Taylor and Taylor hookup...I'm a junkie, constantly looking for a hit. Jesus, could Eclipse be any further away? I'm dying over here! Don't think I won't start listening to my Cure albums, because I sooooo will!

  16. The New Moon frenzy fell in the middle of a f*cked up, emotional week so all the anticipation got a little much for the anti-climactic event* (plus 3 hours of sleep before the holiday deadline from hell.) I saw the movie again a few days later and I'm determined to see it all. by. myself. this Thursday while the kid's in school. A little dip in the healing waters, shall we say. Plus I just reread New Moon so I'm still immersed in Steph's little world.
I've been so busy (not that I let real life interfere in the past) but I even feel out of bloggy-touch this week. For now I anxiously await the Eclipse bones they start tossing soon to reignite the fire. "Remember Me" trailer was the gasoline.
*I wrote a NM experience review for my paper/job. You can see it if you're so inclined at my blog... suzspetals.wordpress.com. It was pretty tame for me because it's a small town paper. You chicks can read between some of the lines for expletives.

  17. I like the 'riding the wave' comment above....I, too, had a lot of RL crap to deal with last week but I am totally ready to take on New Moon again...this time slow and sweet and with a purpose....not the crazy, frenzied, multiple viewing lovefest that was opening weekend. I plan to see it again this weekend with a couple of friends. I am every bit as excited to see it the 4th time...and I am still wondering if I will hear the damn chimes or if my brain will go into SAFE MODE again...hmmmm.

I must admit my nether regions are starting to get all twitchy for "Remember Me"--I mean are you kidding me? Two hours of Rob looking like Rob with a sex scene to boot....yep so many more waves to ride...heh-heh.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I'm finding that I kill the time between movies filling the void with RPatz. I'm seriously jonesin' for Remember Me. I hear you though...and if I'm reading the tone of your post correctly...I think you might be feeling like it's Dec 26th and all you have now is a big mess under the tree. I refuel with a few Rob Porn videos and I am right back on track again.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I've seen New Moon twice and I'm trying to plot to see it again without my family knowing 'cause they just DON'T GET IT. Lord! Cannot wait for the dvd release (there had better be a SUPER Special Edition with tons of extra's to tide me over till Eclipse). Then there's Remember Me not to mention The Runaways which I'm just as excited for. And a little bit of Valentine's Day for all the Team Taycob's out there. I have lost my mind for Twilight!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I finally feel like I can breathe again and actually get some real-life work done at the office and at home. Finally even found the time to get my hair cut and colored. It was that bad.

I've seen New Moon six times now with every intention of breaking my old record of 10 trips to the theater to see Brendan Fraser in George of the Jungle. LOL!

But my New Moon screensavers have been replaced with pics of Rob in Remember Me, and I cannot get enough of the movie trailers, official and fanmade.

Twilight will always have a special place in my heart, but I am SO ready to see Rob go all Notebook on whats-her-name. If we haven't lost our fucking minds yet because of this beautiful boy, Remember Me will definitely do it.

  21. Aw STY. It did get quiet. Poor sweet SSTB was a tomb. *sighs* Which wasn't due to a Twi-crash. *bitch bitch moan moan* I already did this on Twitter. I will save you ladies from my complaining.

I'm here and completely 100% pumped. My real life, however, is seriously kicking my ass hard. Maybe you and JJ could tell it to leave me alone? *bats eyelashes* Three more weeks and my school hell is over. Can you hear the angles singing?

Love you ladies like I love me so jaw-porn.

  22. I am somewhere between still going and burnt out! I just don't know what to do with myself. I have seen New Moon twice and really want to see it again but I am just itching for Eclipse news or even better Breaking Dawn news. I feel like I should take a break but I am sssoooooooo addicted!!!!!!!!!!!

  23. SNY, You're right as always things were too quiet in Twiland. I turned to something I never thought I'd do to get my fix. FANFICTION!!!! I know I'm late to the party but, I honestly was like "WTF? You don't mess with perfection." I really am that much of a snob but this is one time I'm happy to have been wrong. And now I've spent the last five days reading fanfiction nonstop(read doing that instead of work I'm paid to do at my job), wondering what my damage was when I should have just listened to you two. Never again will I be a doubter. IF you say funny or fuckhawt, I believe. I now worship at the alter of JJ and SNY in the church Twitarded whereas before I was a grazer, nibble here chew a little there never committing to one way of practice in getting closer to HIM. And by HIM I mean Rob AND Edward. It's weird I always thought of them as separate but the "change" has happened after seeing NM four times I guess they are inextricably linked now and forever. I can not decided whether this is desirable or not. Any thoughts? Sorry this comment is rambling blame it on lack of sleep due to intense reading of fanficion.

  25. Twi things have been quiet here, but that's for two reasons, one is that real life seems to have been getting in the way *tut*, nothing in particular but just things like bits of stuff going on and the kids needing more attention. Also my twibloggy friend Mary came down with swineflu the day after we saw NM and hasn't been well yet so we've just not done the obsessive chats about it properly since. Oh, and Mr Stan has been busy doing his accounts for two days now so I haven't been able to get near the computer for any length of time.

He took me to see NM last night, I can't believe it! Will post the details on Edbrella later :o)

  26. 1) Still in my PostNewMoonCacoon, just starting to emerge though ...

2)lots of school vacays before and after this

    3) lots of school holidays coming round

    4) my brother's getting married friday

    5) I still haven't managed to see new moon yet without it being related to massive intoxication (not mine, which makes it worse) and or needing to help someone that was nearly dying (true story, will get around to blogging about it someday...)

    6) still love twilight though, still think about it ALL the time, still have weird little notes everywhere of bloggy ideas ... just a lot to do/ a lot of lazy to go round ...

  27. still going strong. i leave on vacation on thurs morning at 7am and i'm not packed. i am planning on seeing NM for the 6th time today. so if i get to florida and have no underwear- i totally blame NM. i am also not happy about no internet access for a week. how will i survive without you guys.

  28. Since New Moon's release, I'm more in the Twilight Zone now than ever and can't stop looking at Rob pics & videos, thinking about looking at Rob pics and videos, and immersing myself in fanfic. Just thinking about going to see NM tomorrow night again with F-Kat has got my heart aflutter...

    ReplyDelete
  29. Since I only saw NM once, the hype is still very much on for me. But once that is over I will dedicate myself to writing that fanfic.

  30. It's SparkleMindy. This darn thing won't let me sign in today!
I am like @Erin, wondering where Rob & Kristen are and what they are doing. I am glad they seen to be getting some peace, but I am a missing all the action of the past few weeks. I will see New Moon for the third time this weekend, and am happy we have Eclipse and Remember Me to look forward to in the near future. I would be complete if Breaking Dawn has an official start filming date...

  31. I'm thrilled to hear that most of you guys are in major gung-ho-twi mode! Sometimes I question our commitment to Sparkle Motion, but then I reaffirm the faith and my jazz hands are stronger than ever.

    : )

I think it's mostly RL kicking my butt that has me in a snit lately - I lurv Twi and being a blogger but holy crap it's made it hard to accomplish anything else in the last year - lol! Maybe more on that later - I know you will all be able to relate - hehe.

    ReplyDelete
  32. @STY - You and I talked via email along time ago when I wondered how you and JJ got anything else done in RL. My baby blog takes up a lot of time, so I can't even begin to imagine keeping up with the awesomeness of yours.

I love you guys almost as much as The Pretty, and I think I speak for everyone in the land of Twitardia when I say that if you need to slow things down and regroup, we'd understand. What we can't do, however, is live in a Robuniverse where Twitarded doesn't exist at all.

So get your Sparkle Peen . . . er . . . Motion recharged and know we'll be here waiting for you.

  33. I'm still in "semi" gung ho mode - I think it was a little "too" much overload on all things Twilight related. I am VERY excited to see RPattz in RM in all his RPattz beauty with no "sparkles" (as much as we like them!) and am going to watch KStew in her Joan Jett movie and will even go to see Valentines Day with TaylorSquared in it!

I think things are slowing down due to RL and the holidays and sicknesses and all that jazz, and then of course, faching work tends to get in the way! :) I still get my daily fix of "Twitarded" and try to keep up on the fanfic.

And yes, I'm committing adultery - I've cheated on "Twilight" with different vampires and these ones are nasty, sexy and make you imagine what could be - I'm talking about "The Brotherhood of the Black Dagger" series - giddyup on the sex scenes!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I have a friend who has the wonderful ability to download new release movies, so does the fact that I ask him every 5 minutes if he has New Moon for me yet mean I'm still obsessed? Ummmmmm - yep - still obsessed.

    ReplyDelete
  35. @anotherjenny
I am totally the same! I would spend the whole day reading Fanfic if I could! Unfortunately kids & husband get in the way. I still love New Moon and am desperately trying to find someone to go and see it again with me, but I think it will a while before I put down the fanfic and pick up the Twilight saga books again! There are just too many filled with lemony goodness!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I still get the tingles when I think about New Moon. I bought a ton of merch on Black Friday. I'll be putting up my Twilight tree this weekend. Obsessed? Yes. Eclipse? Over 200 days away? *sigh* More Vanity Fair outtakes? I might actually die. And I'm so behind on my fic I could cry. I'm not even sure where to start. So yeah, I'm still hopped up on NM.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I still get butterflies in the stomach when I think about seeing New Moon again so I guess that makes me still on fire! Oh wait, that might be heartburn.... or anxiety because work sucks right now. Aw fuck, I'm going to try and pass it off as New Moon burn just so I don't end up jumping out my office window today!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Still burnin' Without a doubt- I'm thinking of going to see New MOnn again taday (will be my sixth time). Kids drove me batty this morning and I just want to hit the theatre and get lost in the story... Can't wait for Remember Me! Already counting the days. It's going to be hard not to get spoiled- (I don't want to know the ending and I wish people would stop talking about it!)
Troolong the interent and finding new blogs and sites, new fan fic to appease me until then- keeping the flame burning.

    ReplyDelete
  39. It's still on my mind. I still stop and watch every time there is a commercial, promo, trailer, interview.... I still read this blog and I still search the magazine racks for any news on KStew and RPatz. But, is it an all consuming, burning, driving force? Not quite. I can actually function now and I've gone back to caring for my family instead of nonstop fanfic searches. So I wouldn't say that the honeymoon phase is over, just that I'm back to Twilight et al. being a part of my life, not my life.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Although I've come out of the Twilight closet to most everyone I know, I try not to go completely batshit crazy in front of all the other PTO Moms, etc. I'm still feeling every bit as excited about everything as I was the week before the premier. However, I think my DVR is enjoying the rest and relaxation of the overtime it had to put in to catch everything that was running the week of the premier.

I dragged my 50-something mother to the midnight showing and tried my best to keep my composure for the whole thing. I was pretty successful I have to say! I was disheartened to hear that my 11-year old daughter went to see it with her stepsister while she was at her Dad's for Thanksgiving. Although w did go see it together yesterday afternoon and squeeed and giggled quietly through the whole thing. Oddly, there were only a dozen people in the entire theater and three of them were guys (who all came to the movie together, sans female counterparts).

Now, the big debate... Do I go completely Twi-virgin for Eclipse? If so, I'm going to have to start early and be VERY patient. Don't know if I have the strength to stay away!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I think RL is starting to bite a lot of us in the arse because RL has been a bit on the back burner at times it normally would not, right?

Personally, I am still knee deep into fan fiction (haven't reread the books since I found that), although I have to admit I have moved on for my Kindle reading to the Sookie Stackhouse books as I want to check out the True Blood series. Although the books are totally pissing me off because most of the sex is Stephenie Meyeresque, fade to fucking black.

Thanks to fan fiction, I need some fucking details, come on!!!

Regardless of what happens with me with all this twilight blogginess, I know I am into the fan fiction for LIFE!!!

BTW, allow me to pimp my current favorite "The Weight of Words" Not real lemmony to this point, but the build up is getting super intense and the writing by georgeygirl is absolutely brilliant. Check it out, it is a keeper!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I agree with a few and say the love has tapered a bit. I have to get some sh@#$% done around here, for goodness sake!! I love both movies but felt like I watched way too many previews before NM hit the theaters...I've gone 3 times in the last 2 weeks, though! Thought Taycob's acting was an unexpected hit! I'm really gonna try and avoid any trailers for Eclipse, (sure, yeah, right!) I want to be thoroughly surprised so I can truly spazz in the theater in June!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Woot....this is the first time I've commented....don't know why it's taken me this long to join the party!

    *waves at everyone* hiiiiya!

Well for me, as soon as I got home after watching the midnight show of New Moon (like 3am or something stupid) I downloaded the Eclipse and Remember Me countdown clocks....I was so excited. It can only get better ladies!

But news has been pretty quiet, after the avalanche of media coverage the film got. I've since seen NM 4 times, partly due to my commitment to various friends whom I convinced to read the books and who in return convinced me to hold their hands for the loss of their Twilight/RPattz-big-screen-virginity. I didn't complain I love me some big-screen Rob *swoon* :)

But I kind of feel a bit worn out. It's like everyone in the world has been talking about The Precious. I'm fed up with having to listen to/defend it with co-workers who just don't get it, nor want to. I'm like "leave my beloved alone!!"

I guess it's all part of huge scale it's reached that everyone has an opinion and there's a lot of Twilight-bashing. It gets me down when I hear it being discussed on the news, especially when they constantly refer to fans as being "teenager girls"...ahem hello?!

I've switched back to finding more fan fic now to tide me over - that seems to be keeping me going. Reading Wide Awake (again) and Dark Edward is just the best :)

Yeahy Twitarded love you guys :) x

@Anon 10:23 am - I'm totally with you on boycotting the spoilers for Eclipse. There are so many scenes in New Moon that I wish I'd seen for the first time on the big screen as part of the movie as a whole. I just hope I have enough willpower to actually do it!

    @Jeswah - *waving back*

@NYC Girl - I'm listening to the audiobook of Eclipse in my car :)

  46. B*tch please. How could you question our devotion?

I am still JUST as distracted as day one... scratch that, more distracted thanks to VF pictures (haaaaaalelujiah!).

It was probably just the after-effects of everyone getting absolutely NO work done in the days leading up to NM, closely followed by Thanksgiving when we may or may not have been forced to hang out with non-Twitards, that caused the silence in blogland. Doesn't mean that I wasn't replaying scenes from NM like a broken record in my head while whipping sweet potatoes and secretly checking out my Rob-magazines under the table during Thanksgiving dinner though :)

FWIW, NM did nothing but fan the flames of my obsession. I - seriously - may spontaneously combust one of these days. If so, will one of you please come adopt mini-E, FSE, and all of my Rob-azines before Mr. XKR throws them away (and maybe pisses on them once they're in the trash)?

  50. Thought you ladies might appreciate a use for your secret Robward folder of hotness. I just made myself a Robward screen saver and let's just say that no more work will be done today! SO EASY. Here's how (for Windows Vista):

    - Save Robward pix in a folder. If you already have one, you're good to go.
    - Right click on the desktop anywhere and click Personalize.
    - Click Screen Saver, select "Photos," then click "Settings" to the right.
    - Choose the second option ("Use pictures and videos from") and then click Browse to select your Robward pic folder.
    - Click save, and you're done!

For XP, instructions here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/tips/diyscreensaver.mspx. Use the same directions as above to change the folder it pulls pix from.

I will now purposely be taking ten minutes to check the mail/reheat my coffee/pee just so that the screen saver is on when I return.

  52. First, why is there a poll response for “taking a break?” If someone was taking a break, why would they be on twitarded taking a poll?

Anyhoo, totally forgot where I was going…darn work distractions… Don’t they know I am twi-blogging? Geez!!

Oh, ya! At NM, I realized that I need to re-re-re-re-re-read the entire twi series as I cannot remember what was in SM stories and what was in twiporn. One of my twiwives (I have 2, guess I am twipolygamous) and I had an extensive discussion on this subject. We kept getting our various Bella’s/Edwards & storylines confused.

I am seeing NM for the 3rd time this weekend. I think I can now sit through it without “happy hands” flapping away and my uncontrollable squealing and yelling sexually explicit profanities at the screen.

I think I am going through a NM depression; I have been gorging myself for 2 weeks now. I am afraid to wear anything with a fit, I am only wearing the stretchy, no buttons cloths. March & RM cannot get here fast enough. You know, we probably won’t see many pictures from the Bel Ami set cause most of it will be inside, in various bedrooms. *swoon* Please, dear God of all things Rob, do not have Rob sporting a “Little Ashes” stashe. That would be tragic.

WV: roarg - What I did at NM, I roared then chocked on my own spit out of pure excitement and lust for Robward.

  53. My love for Rob and Twi has never wavered!

LOL...my BFF's boyfriend compared the New Moon premiere to my Superbowl...a fantastic comparison in guy speak! :)

  54. I'm not going to lie, RL sometimes takes a hold of me and I could give a shit about anything at that moment but for the most part; I'm cruising. For me, what keeps my fire fueled, is my love to read and write. So I just submitted my first fanfic (It's Eric Northman, not Twilight related) and that has been keeping me occupied, plus hey I can always count on VF to release some fucking outtake from Part 13, or some crap like that to keep me going. I love Rob maybe more than I love Twilight *shhhh* and I love making Rob Videos!! Woohoo!

  55. Still riding the wave just like some others.
I think I would like to re-grow my Eclipse hymen this time around and be in for more of a surprise with Eclipse movie. Can't wait for RM - watched the trailer a gazillion times already. I love when he say's "Well, I guess it's just here to tease me." (speaking about the ashtray that's not an ashtray)
I have plans to go see NM for only the 2nd time on Monday and then I move to OH on Friday. I haven't done any packing, but movers are coming to pack up the place on the 10th. RL is starting to creep up on and shout "BOOOO Bitch! Wake up already! You are responsible for moving two kids, all your earthly possessions, and registering for a new school! Oh and find a new job. Bleh."

Fanfic - namely Clipped Wings and Master of the Universe (thanks JJ for that rec.) are keeping me up late every night, then work is keeping me busy during the day. I, of course, make sure to check in on Twitarded but I haven't been able to comment lately. Is there a job out there where I can get paid to read FF? Or find pics of The Precious? BTW – @Nibbel-it – Did the Hobbit show up to work today? Haven’t seen your comment for the day.

@Jeswah - howdy! Welcome to your new life!

@Sprtzmom - Please give FF a go! WARNING - Once you start you won't be able to stop!

@Twilove1 & F-Kat - have fun on the next go round of NM.

    Lurv you twiho's!

  56. Oops - I'm in a distinct minority - I'm burned out. Might have something to do with getting that term paper done for class next week...
But I am a tad burned. Not hitting the blogs quite so hard (ie - didn't read Twitarded until almost 2pm today) And stopped surfing google news for any hot gossip (well, there isn't any) Although I think I'm swinging into BKing for another hit of Twi coupons. And I plan on making all those TWI Xmas projects. And I was thinking of rereading it all again if I can find (or at this point replace) my missing copies of Eclipse and BD. (I don't care what she says - my daughter lost them)And I want to get a new digital camera so I can take better pictures of P.E. And I'm trying to think abut how to give my new cat a Twi name without being TOO obvious (My daughter will laugh at me.) And it has to start with a K sound. Karlisle?
So maybe I'm not that burned out. Or else this is the lowest level it gets...

  57. @Twilove1 and ISeeTwiPeople - I know, I know. I've read a few chapters here and there, including the lemony chapter JJ posted awhile back. I've never read enough of them to know what lemony actually means or why I should like cupcakes so much, but I've seen enough references to get the gist of it. It will be a long, cold winter in Illinois, so I may just have to warm things up with some fanfic.

@Rob's Bitch - That's what has been consuming my time, but it's so much fun. A great outlet for the Robsession. If you need any help setting it up, the girl that worked on mine (17 Forever) is awesome. She does more than just design and has tons of patience. She's also working on The Cougar’s Den if you want to check out more of her work. Either way, keep me posted. I'd love to stop by and check it out when you get it up and running.

@Honolulu Girl - Congrats on the new fanfic. Do you have a YouTube channel for your videos?

@Kintail - PFach would love it!

  58. Gotta admit that I have now set my sights on RM and Eclipse. NM was great but I don't want to see it in the theatre again because the sad parts can make me cry so I am eagerly awaiting the DVD! I, too, was forced to start a Twiblog. It isn't much yet - I'm still finding my "voice." Yeah, missing the anticipation for NM. Missed it so much that I just finished rereading Eclipse and have started Breaking Dawn. Again.

  59. Oh I'm still hopped up on Twilight and New Moon! Have seen the film 6 times. Was tempted to go again today but am designing a Twilight cross stitch pattern and am finally at the sewing stage. Finished reading New Moon (2nd time) right before the release of the film, and am now reading Midnight Sun (3 rd time) before moving forward to Eclipse.

My husband and sons (one of which is actually a 17 yr old named Edward.. and yes, he's past white and rail thin too lol) are probably sick of me finding numerous ways to reference Twilight in every day happenings.

Love your blog btw. All of the negative reviews (and hordes of teens) were getting me down. This is just what Dr. Cullen ordered! :)

  60. My obsession is still burning at a nice wolfie temperature. I know my life is Twilized when I'm checking my twitter for updates in between seeing patients. We have Remember Me as an intermission before Eclipse and that is A-OK with me. :) OH! I'm sure VF will be pulling 12,000 more outtakes of the Very Fuckhawt photoshoot (I mean VF photoshoot) to appease us and our underwear.

  61. @sprtzmom - thanks so much for the encouragment! Checked out your blog and it's beautiful. I think I'll try it myself first and see what happens...

I'll let you know when it's ready for primetime.

  62. Hey all - sort of late to the party, but here goes...

I keep telling myself I'm ready to re-engage the real world (shouldn't I want to know the details of the proposed health care reform?!), but...am really at this weird place where I'm still loving all this Twilight stuff, and of course fanfic, and all the various Rob/Kristen sites. All equaling the big "Time Suck". I am very grateful for my fellow Twi-tards, as I truly would wonder about my sanity.

I am eagerly awaiting RM (I thought Rob's acting was better in the preview than in NM - SORRY!), I just bought 'Little Ashes' and I bought and watched 'The Haunted Airman' (I liked it - Rob has lots of small moles on his back - whoa! [Why am I glad that I know that?!- bring on the white coats!]). Which makes me conclude this craziness is a combination 'Twilight/RPattz' obsession. Oh Well. Didn't do this at 17; may as well get this silliness in at some point in this lifetime!

Again, thanks everybody for being a sympathetic ear and community. You are the BEST!!!

  63. I always think I am past the obsession now that I saw New Moon until my screen saver pops up - all the VF photos and outtakes of Rob - and then bam!....I'm sucked (I wish) back in again. Plus I can't get enough of Twi FanFiction.....I thought I'd see if it was just FanFiction in general but have not been able to find it in myself to even look at other genres. Twi smut pwns me for sure!

  64. Oh, another TwiFic rec...."The Blessing and the Curse" by The Black Arrow....."Darkward" and Bella....lots of angst and with an interesting plot twist....great lemons and great writing....gah! I need an update soon!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Thank you EVERYONE for new recs on FF! I can not express how hooked I am, and again am all caught up on updates, so I "need" some more to add to my list! ;D hehehe, I wish this semester of school was over with all ready! Christmas break is going to be awesome w/ all the lemony goodness! :D

  66. Other than KStew bitting her bottom lip like some twatfaced freak, NM truly rejuvenated my need for all things Twi. While my daughter & I waited till Turkey Day, it was fucking hard not to talk to my friends (who were seeing NM for the 2nd or 3rd time by the time Turkey Day rolled around-biatches!) about NM. I can't wait to go see NM again, and again, and again, hell, you get the picture ;)

Since me need for Twi is feeling funky, I went out and bought Mini Alice (sad but true) to join the rest of my mini gang of Shadesward, Bella, & Taycob (w/shirt) action figures. Unfortunately, the store didn't have Mini Alice by herself....the poor non-arm movin bitch came w/Guidoward. Fuck me!!

  67. Still burnin, still totally obsessed. As far as blog lurking and playing on threads, I haven't been as involved in the last couple weeks simply because NM and Thanksgiving happened one after the other. Yeah, sure, I was totally hyped for New Moon, but even after all the hoopla surrounding it died down, I'm still devoted. I look forward to RM, and I'm so glad we don't have to wait til next year November for Eclipse. As of now, however, as much as RL allows, if I'm not reading blogs, participating in threads, or swooning over the latest pics, then I'm immersed in fanfic. If I have to be away from the computer, I've naturally got one of the Twilight books always within reach. If I'm unable to read, then I'm wired to the iPod (I love how fanfic authors almost always include a playlist of songs that inspire their stories... other than the Twilight soundtracks, the majority of songs I have on my iPod these days are all recs from fanfic authors). All things, to me, continue to somehow link back to Twilight, so even when I'm not online, or reading, or listening to music, Twilight still consumes my imagination and even my dreams. So yeah, the enthusiasm's quieted, but the love's still going strong. There's no going back for me. I'm Twitarded, and I wouldn't have it any other way. One love... and his name be Edward.

    WV: hyper. *snort. How apropos.

  68. How could every get tired of Twilight??? What the french toast. I am stoked and waiting for pre-sale of eclipse to go on sale Whoo and a Hoo bring it on!

  69. better late than never! well so this is how my Twi-Brain is working these dayz..At the midnight NM show I was so underwhelmed that I almost felt my Twi-heart break, Then i saw it the next day and I was seeing it with new eyes. I think i'm old and midnight is like pulling an all nighter for my old self. A friend ripped me the Cd and I am being haunted by it. I must see NM this weekend. Now I'm a huge fan of the soundtrack. It's a slow burn for me.NOTHING like I the immediate tween high I got from twilight. OK so Now I'm addicted again. ..even though I think it would be good to take a break. It would be "healthy". And I'm a RobstenShipper too..so I'm always kinda looking. But i think it's gonna be quiet. And I have that feeling we got all that coy sweet adorkable Rob when he was what 21? 22? but I think that pure adorkable-ness may not reappear the same way. He's looking hawt and manly. and he's going to act with Uma fucking Thurman. But I got a ton of RL shit that is owning my ass and this is the best time for it to be quiet!
But when its quiet - I yearn. I'm not gonna lie.
