Doing My Part To Maintain Our Reputation...

I'm not talking about the "you Twitarded chicks are a bunch of dirty hoes" reputation - not this time! Nope, it's the "holy shit don't you people ever do anything on time?!" rep - although I may excuse Latchkey Wife from inclusion here since apparently she's organized and stuff and does things on time (when it doesn't involve me or Jenny Jerkface, anyway).

So it might be a tad belated, but I wanted to give a HUUUUGE shout-out to Poptarrt over at Lick My Poptart... She's been doing an entire week of "Illuminating Twilight" - asking some of her fave blogger buds to wax poetic (or not so poetic, in my case) on their most beloved components of the Twilight Saga and beyond!

OK wait...am I early? Late? What day is it? Have I entered that "other" Twilight Zone???

...and she kicked things off with in interview with yours truly (check it out HERE)! Yes, she saw first-hand what terrible procrastinators we are here and had to all but threaten to hop on a plane to come kick my ass if I didn't follow through and finish what I started weeks earlier (sorry Poptarrt!).

Next, Mrs. P from TwiBite chimed in on New Moon...

Jeanette (Robmusement) and Tina (Tina's Been Rob'd) who collaborate on Memoirs of a Robmance covered Eclipse...

and Stoney G. Pumpkin from TwiSoup dished her thoughts on Breaking Dawn...

...and there's still more to come! Stay tuned for Stan from Twi-sted Edrella to tackle the huuuuuge world of Twilight fanfic (can't wait!). Poptart did an awesome job putting this all together (despite my best attempts to thwart her) - thanks for including Twitarded!

And speaking of awesome blogs posts, I also wanted to direct your attention to an awesome review of "The Runaways" that our bloggy (and RL!) friend TJ wrote - it's an uh-maze-uh-balls piece where she really digs into the history of the band, its members, the music and look of the time, and everything else you can possibly imagine. Well done, TJ! This review is everything I wish I knew enough to post about the movie, but didn't. Go check it out (in all of it's spoiler glory) at chronicles of a fat girl named miss t.j. - you'll be glad you did!

P.S. If there is anything remarkably wonky in this post, I'm sorry. Really. But I am taking massive amounts of painkillers to deal with a fucked up dental issue that seems to be eluding diagnosis. What is the medical term for "holy effing shit it feels like someone is ripping a molar out of my mouth!!!"?? Because I have that. But that's just the kind of month I have been having. Not to end on a whine, but I will be REALLY happy to see March in my rear-view mirror - if it could go wrong this month, it did, and I think I am in multiples of threes as far as counting bad things goes. Which is why I have been absent all week! And I haven't been away from the blog for this in a freaking YEAR!! It's enough already! Hellooooooo, April! Wooot! April is almost May which is almost June which means that Eclipse is just around the corner. Bring it on, David Slade!

  2. I know what you mean about March being behind us. In like a sick masochistic lion and out like a stupid lamb. I am so over it. I agree, Eclipse can't get here fast enough.

  3. Dude, I totally messed up on my own accord.
You were just the icing, I promise!

Im extremely touched for the shout out however. I simple..Hey check this out! squeezed in between two unrelated paragraphs woulda been fine.

  4. STY - Sorry to hear about your rough month. If I were you, I WOULD NOT go to webMD and try to look up your issue. That web site is pure evil. Look up any combination symptoms (even being happy and singing Neil Diamond tunes) and that web site can convince you that you are going to die in 3...2...NOW. WEbMD convinced me there was something wrong with my ovaries....thats right...I am male and that is just how convincing it is.

    Feel better soon.

  5. Poptarrt rocks and I was soooo happy to take part in her Illuminating Twilight week...she's awesome.

I think God made a HUGE mistake when it came to teeth...I wish we were like sharks and just grew new ones when the old ones wore out. I hope you get it figured out because in all honesty, I can't think of anything more crippling.
    XOXO

  7. what the hell mr. snarky is heading out (with my drugged-up blessings) to a late b-day shindig so i'm gonna sit right here and make trouble in the comments!

clad i wasn't the only one who thought april blew chunks! well, i mean sorry it sucked so hard for other people but misery loves company and all that...

@Living With Edward - lol! i wish i had thought of that - perfect! this is my brain on drugs. pffft...pffft...

@CF4LIFE - yeah if i hit webmd i might just off myself to save the trouble of the long painful sinus-related death that is surely my fate. nothing says "fun" like seeing your sinus cavity, cheekbone, jawbone, and fucked up tooth all in one big extra-special x-ray. and the radiation?! don't get me STARTED - lol...

@Musing Bella - yup, nothing like dental/tooth pain. hope you are feeling better! or are at least on good pain meds like me. : )

@Poptarrt - i've been wanting to do this ALL week - lol! seriously, this week was AWFUL and i am only sorry that i didn't get to post this earlier. if it wasn't for JJ & LKW, i would be keeled over by now - they saved my blogger ass this week!

  9. LMAO Mrs. P: "...think God made a HUGE mistake when it came to teeth...I wish we were like sharks and just grew new ones when the old ones wore out."

Loved reading "Illuminating Twilight." It's always fun to read/hear other peoples perspectives regarding this crazy Twi-world.

I have spent the last 2 hours catching up on blogs. I think my bf is ready to kill me ;)We get home from Palm Springs and the first thing I want to do is catch up....Shit, I missed 2 full days...Glad to be back!

  10. snaps to poptartt for the clever collective illumination!

    and STY - what can i say. i f**king heart u.

if it hadn't been for you throwing us a lifeline after the "thread incident that shall not be named", hypoallergenic vagina and i would have been doomed to exist in the never-ending appropriate abyss that is the vegetable-lasagna-of-the-blogosphere forever. to be shunned and castigated for our overzealous love of robporn, speaking our dirty - filthy - little minds, and espousing words that even the urban dictionary can't source.

i am so glad to be apart of twitarded, and have a safe haven to join my fellow twitardians in blissful twitardia.

    Salud!

    vw: clesse

i know it sounds clesse, but i fucking luvs you guys.

  11. @neverthink - I'll drink to that! and the "appropriate abyss" - lol! i would NEVER want to doom anyone to there - it must be cold and lonely out there! and disturbingly bland and non-curse-y. {{{shudder}}}

@Twired Jen - I HATE when i am away for a day or two - it feels like ETERNITY! i missed out on so much this week just because of work and assorted other clusterfuck - gah! if it wasn't for twitter and my blogroll, i might have to quit that damn job. aaaand figure out how to blog without actually having a paycheck. maybe someday... in my dreams! : )

  16. sorry about the tooth. teeth are a pain in the ass.
i had a root canal and a wisdom tooth pulled last month! woo hoo! but i can tell you there was NO pain. drugs are my friend.

and i think march is a big tease.

enjoyed the interview. wish i could have been part of the blog from the get go. actually, it's probably for the best. my house, marriage, and children can only take so much neglect:)

song that screams twilight- clare de lune
favorite scene from twi- it's a tie between the kissing scene and prom. but if you're going to put a gun to my head... then it's the prom scene.
    def read the books first.
getting off my soap box now...

    have a great weekend everyone!

  17. Never mind March, this whole year so far has been completely shit here healthwise for one or other of the family. (((hugs))) STY.

Mr Stan went to London for work on Thursday, came back yesterday, and we've just passed each other now as I came back from a day out with the kids and he left for a whiskey evening at his friend's house. The blogosphere is my saviour for the evening now. Oh, and I may even have got FSJ out of the cupboard to stand alongside FSE to keep me company. Shame I can't keep my eyes off his fingernails.

  18. @hypo vaj - if you REALLY loved me would pray for rpatts to bump into MY girly bits. just sayin'. but i guess i'll take the good thoughts on the dental front - lol... actually woke up with the ability to touch my top and bottom teeth together without it causing excruciating pain, so i guess your heart was in the right place. and your mind was in the gutter - with all of us here on the blog - it's our fave place to be! glad you & neverthink found a dirty lil' place to hang out - we are definitely your people - lol.

@stan - now i feel compelled to go look as the fingernails... i never noticed... but i guess there's reason that i don't have a FSJ. ok there are MANY reasons why i don't have a FSJ, but if his nails are icky, that's definitely a REALLY good reason to not run out and get one!

@RobzsSinger - i was actually reading twi these last few days (twi is my happy-place twi book) and i read the meadow scene and i rofgot how much i loved that part of the book. ok maybe it was the narcotics too but damn i love being swept up in that scene with them - lol! it makes me feel all giddy. i did like the prom scene in the book but i did hate the fact that victoria was there and nobody noticed, you know??

@stoney - thanks! feeling better than yesterday. yesterday suuuucked big time (what i remember of it anyway - lol).

@smartepantz - aw shucks! i love reading all this stuff. it really makes all the crap that's been going on this last month much more tolerable than it would have been otherwise! i have no idea how i managed in my pre-bloggy life.

    : )

veriword - "everofat" - wtf, blogger?!

  19. @ STY I can't believe you never noticed his nails, they've been a big issue with me. I first spotted them in the NM movie companion in the pic where he's giving Bella the dreamcatcher, then couldn't stop looking for them in the film (where he's showing Bella where to put her hands on the bike is another one!)

  20. @STY- i have dog earred many pages in the twi books to get to my happy place as well:) they are mainly the parts where bella and edward are getting hot and heavy, not gonna lie. well, as hot and heavy as stephanie lets them.

the prom scene (gazebo part) is only my fav in the movie... not the book. can't stop watching the way rob, er edward, kisses bella with such emotion. i'm such a dork. and i feel like bella finally shows how much she loves him in that scene. again, with the dorkiness.

twilight is my favorite because it's just so sweet and thoughtful. i love how edward is constantly touching bella's face, running his mouth against her ear then down to her neck. wow, is it hot in here?? i actually wish there were more of those moments in the movie. especially in the meadow scene.

which brings me to a second fav part of the movie...after b and e kiss in the bedroom and she tells him to stay. the way they talk and are with each other, it really brought me back to the book.

okay, i'm done rambling. apparently i need to go read twi again!

  21. Ick...tooth trauma? My bf is a dentist and he always feels bad when someone is hurting, or if he has a patient that needs to get something yanked. No matter how well he does, they always walk away hating his guts.

I am going to quick-like-a-bunny hop over to the interviews and check 'em out. Sounds like something I need to do! And your timeline priorities are excellent. "April is almost May which is almost June which means that Eclipse is just around the corner." 'Bout damn right.

  24. I read the Illumination interviews and they were great.

STY, ditto what Neverthink said, we <3 you girls and your bevy of hilarious commenters.

My introduction to Twitarded was when the photo of the Robporn stash was up. My first thought was "Well this place doesn't look like we can break it" Actually, that's a lie. My first thought was "Holy Fuck! What a huge pink dildo!"

Sorry for the crap month and hurt. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Dear God, Please make Snarky's mouth feel better (and if you could have Rob stumble into my vagina...so much the better, kthxbye).
